^ all Morrison needs is a big win against a true top tier guy. remember for Jeff Hardy it was his win against Triple H that propelled him to main event status. Morrison has gotten big wins and had great matches, but he needs that clean win against one of the top in the company. he needs to beat Triple H or Orton or even HBK at a big ppv. being on Smackdown he really just needs to beat Punk or Taker at this moment. the thing with Morrison though is that they gave him the IC title now, which means they are probaly looking to wait to give him the title. they could be going the old school route of building him up and waiting until the last possible moment until giving him the shot. now that tactic i dislike, as it can backfire (like it did for WCW with Magnum T.A.). see Morrison has always been good and WWE has liked him from the start but they jumped the gun. he was still basically a heel up until he made the save with the Hardys. i dont think anyone could have expected that he could be turned in minutes like that though. so now they have a ridiculously talented performer who is super over right now and they cant do anything with it. thats why he got the IC title instead of Ziggler. so WWE may milk the match with Ziggler into a feud depending on what they are doing with Punk/Taker and how long they will keep the tag titles on Jericho and Big Show. in all seriousness we could be waiting until Survivor Series to see him get the title. i can easily and happily see Punk vs. Morrison vs. Jericho in a triple threat match. that or if he gets to be a top guy around that time we may see him win the Rumble. Yeah, I think winning it at the rumble sounds right...

^ Jeff Hardy really is the dumbest person on the planet. i bet WWE is very happy that he had decided to "retire" prior to this occuring. i really hope he gets time.

so its almost a lock that Jeff Hardy will do time in a state prison if he's convicted on even 2 of the felonies he got charged with. i also researched some of the laws of the great state in which i live and in North Carolina a felony drug trafficking and felony possession with intent to distribute convictions would give him a minimum of 10 years in the state prison in Raleigh.
due to the circumstances of the raid, i'm inclined to believe that Jeff was actually distributing these drugs. someone narced him out and then the police surveilled him and had enough evidence to raid his house. they dont randomly raid houses down here. he was being watched for awhile.

On the Jeff Hardy thing...
I know its wrong, but does anyone else find it kinda funny ? Glad I didn't buy that Jeff Hardy action figure now. Although, this will make me want to watch wrestling even less than I do.

^ i find it hysterical. he truly is the dumbest person alive. he's lucky he kept a job as long as he did. he made alot of money and yet still decided that he needed to sell narcotics. its one thing to use drugs, but to needlessly sell them is a whole other thing. i'm actually hoping WWE lets C.M. Punk shoot about this. i'm sure Hardy will cut some sort of deal or narc his supplier out or something and he'll end up getting only 2-5 though. i've never been a Jeff Hardy fan though, i've always liked his brother more and i've always felt that Jeff got undeserved pushes and far too many chances. i kept thinking he's the luckiest guy out there to keep getting away with this stuff and keep getting chance after chance. i'm glad it finally caught up to him.

I've been reading up on this Hulkamania tour in Australia...
I kinda hope it finds some way into America. Perhaps specials on some channel. I think I read somewhere where Bischoff would like to make a reality show of it. I'd love to see Hogan wrestle some of these guys - Val Venis, Gangrel, those would be cool matches. Rumors of them approaching Danny Bonaduce, but he turned them down. That would have been so freakin' awesome. I would pay to see Bonaduce fight Hogan... And I'd hope he'd kick Hogan's @$$.

Mattel now makes WWE figures. Jakks lost WWE, but they picked up TNA. And now Playmates is making AAA Lucha Libre. (The only reason I don't block galavision on my tv.)
That got me thinking though... With AAA getting a major U.S. license, does that mean its now the #3 wrestling promotion in North America?

With AAA getting a major U.S. license, does that mean its now the #3 wrestling promotion in North America? hahahaha. thats a good one. no AAA is not the # 3 wrestling promotion in North America. they're not even the top promotion in Mexico. and yeah i agree with All Star about the Mattel WWE figs next year. and dont get too excited about the Playmates AAA figs either as Playmates has alot of the same delay problems as Mattel. and i see the line lasting maybe one wave. they have no tv deal in the US, casual wrestling fans dont know one wrestler from the promotion, children wont know any of them and want the figs, so mainly these figs will be for hardcore wrestling fans who also collect. the market isnt large enough for the line to succeed and make money and due to the limited exposure the promotion has in the US, top retail chains may not even take a chance on the line which will make it basically an internet only line of figures from a company with no direct service site. its just doomed to fail. and on top of everythign else they have to compete against highly detailed and very good arena figs, which are about 1/3 the price of what Playamtes will sell theirs for. on a completely different side note, you said the only reason you dont block Galavision is for AAA. they also air alot of good boxing, so if you are a fan of the sport you should check out a few bouts.

Team 3D won the IWGP Tag Titles and The British Invasion won the TNA Tag Titles. the Invasion didnt retain the IWGP belts, they lost them in the match, but they won the TNA titles in the match.

^ the rules of the match were odd and i still dont quite understand how Team 3D didnt win both belts. TNA gets confusing sometimes and seems to just make things up as they go and change stipulations mid-match and then other times they dont say anything and everyone is left wondering how its possible that something happened. it was like a Konnan booked match. they announce the rules, want to change something, and then they change it without telling anyone and you just have to accept it and not hurt your head trying to figure out how it occured.

Actually starting to wonder if Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are really just undercover agents for the WWE that go into a promotion and destroy it from the inside, making WWE's job just that much easier.
TNA would really have to up its game to be able to compete with WWE in a monday night war.

|
|
Post by jlavaia on Oct 28, 2009 23:00:12 GMT -5
a Hogan promo will air during Impact tomorrow night. its him talking "via satellite". this is actually a good move. Hogan needs money and TNA takes any publicity it can get. its also a bigger name to replace Booker T and a safe guard for if Angle leaves.
as for a monday night war, i'd say TNA would be able to compete and win some weeks. TNA consistently has better main events week after week. look at this week for example:
Raw: Triple H vs. Big Show TNA: Kurt Angle vs. Nigel McGuinness (i will not call him Desmond Wolf)
thats a no-brainer. TNA has the better women's division, and a basically equal top of the card top title division. WWE has the much better undercard/secondary title division and if they needed too could easily match TNA's tag division. it would all come down to what was fresh. WWE is starting to smarten up and give us a fresh feud at the top of the card for the first time in a long time with Orton vs. Kofi. that feud has me excited.
and on a completely different note, Turning Point may end up being the show of the year. Angle/McGuinness, Styles/Samoa Joe/Daniels, British Invasion/MCMG, Cheerleader Melissa (i wont call her Alissa Flash)/Kong/Tara is most likely, ODB/Lacey Von Erich for the Knockouts Title is most likely, Red/Homicide for the X-Divison Title is most likely. thats a serious card right there. plus we'll probaly get Lashley/Steiner too which will be solid and Beer Money/Nash vs. World Elite in some form. this is the first ppv in awhile i've been really excited for.
