Just to be clear, the question what is your favorite comic book with joker as the main/only villain.
My choice: "The killing joke" is, of course, the most famous joker comic book. The story is amazing and it is was a key part in batman history. Yet, "A Death in The Family" was also greatly written and was also key in batman history. Hell, i even liked "Joker", it was well written and put together and how it was told from the drivers point of view was very unique. I did not like "Batman: Secerts" at all. It tried to build off "The Killing Joke" which was a mistake. The writing was poor and the illustrations bugged the crap out of me. Overall it was horrible. I haven't read "The Man Who Laughs" but i just bought it today and i will read it tonight. So for me it will have to be....... "The killing joke" I'm kind of upset that i choose this one because its so typical, i bet it will win the vote. Anyway whats your favorite?!

Tough Call, man. All those that you mentioned (and I agee with you on Secrets) were good. However, there are several that are good that have the Joker in them, although he not the main; The Long Halloween, Haunted Knight, and HUSH, just to name a few.

Lovers and Madmen was a good story to me. It has one of my favorite Joker moments too. He disguised himself as a clown at the circus and has a soda shooter with his chemicals in it and he goes up to a little girl and her dad. He asks "Which one should I spray first?" The little girl says her dad. Joker asks "Are you sure?" And she insists, and Joker says, "Okay but just remember years from now when you're in therapy, you chose daddy over you." That just shows you how downright evil he is. The current storyline in Batman Confidential started a new Joker storyline taking place right after Batman caught him the first time. The Joker was screwing with two cops in the priciecnt and in a scuffle, managed to grab hold of one of the cops cellphones, and when he decides he wants his phone call, he calls one of the cop's newlywed wife and poses as doctor and tells her she that her blood tests showed an incurable blood disease that would cost her and any hope to cure it would bankrupt her husband and if he were in her position, he would hang himself. The cop rushes to his home to find his wife, well, I think Joker puts it best: "How many cops does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Two: One to change the lightbulb, and the other to cut down Detective Shancoe's wife!" And that's just part one. Man that clown is evil!

I didn't like Joker as much as it appears everyone else does, I mean I enjoyed it to an extent but it was definately not hte charming, charismatic, and egotistical Joker that I KNOW well. Just an Elseworld's kinda comic to me, enjoyable but something I enjoy only out of continuity. And if it was in continuity DC and me would have a serious problem. The Killing Joke I love it with all my heart - I do, it's just, like I've mentioned SSOO MMAANNYYY times before. People are putting it on too high of a pedastal. And really, it's not as great as everyone makes it out to be. It's got it's flaws, and it is a great story but people need to understand that they shouldn't - "gas it up" a lot. Many writers and artists get so intimitated by it that they just try to rip off TKJ. Which leads me into Batman:Secrets. I don't think it was great, I do think it was somewhat cute though. I found it enjoyable. And there were a few parts that I found very Joker-esque. And as I've said earlier, people try to rip off from TKJ (I mean JOKER did it too) is because - like I said - people are putting it on the high pedastal. I mean i know it's great but - there are soo many other stories that are just equally as great. And I love Death in the Family, though I definately don't consider that to be a Joker comic. I think Joker was just kind of a like hte villain of the moment. It was definately more a Batman comic than a Joker one.
And those lead me to pick - Other - because - there is no definitive BEST JOKER comic, and there isn't a definative BEST BATMAN comic either. Because we need an array of comics altogether to fully understand and flesh out these characters on a whole. And ot be honest, I'm just the typeof person who finds quibbles in everything. I'm not being a perfectionist or anything, though I would say I'm nit picky.

I'm not asking for "The best" I'm simply asking for a personal favorite (so i can go out and get it . I do agree that "Secrets" did have some good points but overall it was horrid, end of story. I liked the "Joker" because, well, i've said before and i rather not wast time. The storys All star memtioned seem very interesting, i'll definitely go check them out. Oh yeah, i agree with the hole Killing Joke thing, it is put too high up there, probably because it was a dramatic classic and what not. But still it is great. [[P.S I did just read "The Man Who Laughs" and i did enjoy it, well the part with the joker at least. It took place as jokers real first appearance after his fall in chemicals. I recommend getting it, it was a pretty good. I'm currently reading gotham nights where Bain breaks the bat. Epic.

i really liked the Joker stuff from No Man's Land. the last arc, i forgot the name of it, when he killed Sarah Essen was great. "goin' sane" from LOTDK was good too. there are alot of great classic Joker stories. a really overlooked tale was the 2 parter from Legends of the DC Universe, where Joker meets Aquaman for the first time and Aquaman doesnt know who he is and that he's a villain. classic stuff.
