I would like to see Black Mask as the villain in the next Batman film. A very rich Roman Sionis would arrive in Gotham after Rachel's funeral with his girlfriend Selina Kyle. Roman and Bruce were childhood frienemies who competed for Rachel's attention. Now, Roman plans to honor Rachel by cleaning up the streets of Gotham. At night, however, Roman's dark side, the Black Mask, makes plans to take over Gotham's underground. Selina learns of Roman's plans and helps Bruce/Batman, who she shares an attraction with, go after Roman. Roman learns of Selina's deception and has her killed in an alley behind a pet store. Bruce/Batman continues his quest to take Roman down. Meanwhile, reporter Vicki Vale arrives in Gotham to investagate the Dark Knight. Also, Commissioner Gordon tries to clean up Arkham with the help of Arkham new director, Harleen Quinzel, a famous psychiatrist who is obsessed with the Joker. Harleen opens the doors of Arkham to the GCPD while secretly working with Jonathan Crane to strike fear in the criminals of the asylum.

An interesting idea.
I think I'd definately like to see more scarecrow again. He's fantastic...beyond that, I personally don't think that Black Mask is the caliber of villain they should use..and if they do introduce Selina, it cheapens her to make her Black Mask's girlfriend. She should be her own strong character. I'd love to see something that involves less of a central batman vs. this villain and more batman cleaning up streets..working on the mission, encountering a number of villains over the span of the film, while he tries to avoid the GCPD>

An interesting idea, but I feel that It has too many main characters...Never the less, I like it. The only thing I don't like is that Selina gets killed.

I wouldn't want Black Mask to be a cartoonish villain. I like the suit wearing gang kingpin with a black mask carved from his parent's coffins.
Selina would be a strong character that Black Mask tries to keep under his control. When she finally stands up to him, he has her killed, but she doesn't die. She returns as Catwoman.

[shadow=red,left,300]The Black Mask would be an interesting choice! And according to what I read (I don't know if this is true) the screen writers were considering having Black Mask in The Dark Knight. But he was taken out of the script. [/shadow]

I don't like the idea of a Batman Forever type Riddler in the next Batman film. Edward Nygma working for Bruce Wayne was a stretch. I would love to see a Batman: The Animated Series type Mr. Freeze appear in a live action Batman film. The dark character with a heart who only wants his wife back was touching and nice. That being said, I think Mr. Freeze is a little too cartoonish for the Christopher Nolan universe. The Penguin would be nice, but he wouldn't be a big villain, just a minor player IMO. Other than that, Hush would be another great pick. Both Black Mask and Hush have ties to Bruce Wayne. Selina Kyle has to be in the film, though. I want Catwoman!

[shadow=red,left,300]^ I hated The "Batman Forever" version of the Riddler. He was ridiculous and I could not take him seriously as a threat!
Second, I want Catwoman too! Especially if she is portrayed by Eva Green! Eva Green feels more "cat-like" while Angelina Jolie doesn't.
But I wonder who could play a convincing Black Mask?[/shadow]

I like Matt's idea the best. I don't like the whole Batman vs One main villain. I think it would also be cool if Tim Burton adapted "The Killing Joke" into a movie, it wouldn't be connected to the whole Christan bale as batman franchise either. Completely new actors, all Burton picks.

Fans would hate the idea. Nolan has done so well with the series, I think he should continue! Furthermore, Burton is doing amazingly well and has several films on the go, and I don't think he will return after being slapped in the face![/shadow]
