The DCD Joker is a spectacular figure, possibly the best one DC has produced thus far. I touched up the paint on his face, closely following photos of Ledger, and I think he's even better now. My LCS didn't get the Batman I ordered, so hopefully it will come in on Wed. I'm fearful that the head on Bats is too small, and may necessitate drastic kitbashing on my part.

personally i'd go for the Hot Toys version, even though it is double the price of the DCD Joker. i think the likeness is better, he looks more menacing than the DCD figure: Clickcould you please post more photos of him with his jacket off so we can see his shirt, similar to the photos in the ebay listing? you get less accessories with the HT figure though, would have been nice to have a gun and mask, instead of just the knife, cards and cash. DCD produced a very awful Batman for Begins, i'm not expecting much for TDK. Hot Toys seems to have really pulled both figures off pretty accurately this time round. the DCD figures: compared to the HT versions:

Hello all, I have the Takara version that first came out after Begins; I would have a had time justifying either of the Batman figures. Perhaps a Takara of the Hot Toys figure with the new style armor. The new Hot Toys version is a dramatic improvement over their initial offering though.
The Hot Toys Joker is amazing however and DCD did a good job as well!

finally after so long, my local TRU (here in North West England) has some TDK figures, only 4 or 5 basic figures though, most of them with the new TDK suit and a couple with the Begins suit. none of them looked good enough to buy though, so i'll stick with my Movie Masters figures i bought on ebay from the USA.
oh and the price was £7.99 (around $16). how much are they in the USA?

My Target got in these weird two packs yesterday, that I've never seen before. One has Scarecrow and Batman w/blue armor, and the other has Staff-Strike Batman with Punch Packing Joker. Anyone else seen these? Or are they old news?

TRDouble found the 4" figure 2-packs in upstate NY, he posted a pic of the card back at POA - www.pointsofarticulation.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4686&sid=8d4cc3fb8cf1630864a5da0033f3d4d3My Target had the Basic 5" 2-Packs yesterday. There were 2 different sets - One was Grapnel Launcher Batman & Punch Packing Joker (purple suit) the other was a black & gray Batman w/ a plastic blue visor and the Begins Scarcrow. From what I remember the Batman's costue was gray, but the armor, boots, gloves and cowl were black. He was a pretty cool looking variant, but not for $14.99

Found all four 4" 2-Packs today at the Target in Simpsonville, SC.
I am very happy with the "Batman & The Joker" set - The Joker has a better paint application than my 5" Joker.
I saw several "Thermo Suit Batman & Gotham City Thug" sets and only bought one.
It looks like all of the Batman figures are exactly the same except for small color variations. "The Joker" Batman is solid black with silver utility belt; "Thug" Batman has silver highlights with silver utility belt; "Scarecrow" has blue highlights with gold utility belt. I didn't buy the "Battle Armor Batman & Bruce Wayne" set, but I think that figure had gold highlights with gold utility belt. Too bad there isn't more variation with the Batman, i.e. different sculpts - I'm looking at you Mattel.

Tonight at Target for $6 I caved and bought the 31/2 inch Batman and Joker figure 2pack. The first and probably only piece of directly DK related merch I'll be buying. They also had sets with Scarecrow and Bruce Wayne coupled with Batman variants. Also saw a tone of misc. stuff like t-shirts, magnents, notepads, bags etc. at Hot Topic.

Well, I have a long list... Let's see, I found TDK Band-Aids, A Beach Towel, Two Watches, Totinos Pizza rolls (the 40 count bag has TDK onit and a site to get tickets but the 70 cout box has a TDK comic book), Cerial prizes (4 spinners, 4 launchers, and 4 action figures), a Bop Bag, TDK Hershey's Candy (The Resee's cup is shaped as a bat, and the Kit-Kat has a special TDK design), TDK gummies, and TDK Hamburger Helper. That's What I've found so far!
Thanks for all your guy's contributions!!

No doubt - wish there was a solid release date for these like the first wave - that was the only way I was able to get any of them before they disappeared.

[shadow=red,left,300]Suffolk. So far I've been to all the major chain shops (Woolworths, Toymaster etc...) and still nothing! Not even Camebridge's Forbidden Planet had any! I'm annoyed because we got the Hulk and Iron Man toys month before the films hit cinemas. -The Shadow[/shadow]
