Today at Wal-Mart I picked up the Gotham City Ghost Batman and Phantom Claw Batman. They also had another Batman (blue) that used the body of the purple figure (Razor whip?) from the very first line of "The Batman" figures. Gotham City Ghost Batman - Phantom Claw Batman- I don't know why, but there's something about the sculpt of this figure I really like. I think he'll look pretty cool once I paint the green grey. PJ

there is a disconnect between their product and their customers - correction: their product and little kids. period. in my opinion, there is a huge risk factor for mattel to produce villains. little kids are drawn to buy the protagonist. it is unlikely for kids to beg their parents to buy a villian. :] little kids put a roof over mattel. Yeah, we've heard this before, too..."the kids only want Batman." I've got kids, and all of them have collected various action figures over the years - believe me, they want the villains, too. Look at Star Wars, Marvel Legends, Spider-Man, WWF - the villains sell just fine! If you put a good quality product out there, the product will sell - there IS a demand that is not being met. I'm not saying that Mattel should go the way of McFarlane and totally forget about the kid factor, but my point is more about how and when figures are released - the villains would sell better if the toys came out while the shows featuring the villains are actually on the air. Look at how the movie figures are released - Spidey 3 is over a month away, but the figures are on the pegs and selling like crazy, including THREE different villains! In addition, I think that you could throw the adult collectors a bone now and then - I mean, we ARE supporting ALL the figures that come out, even the ones directly aimed at "the kids." Does EVERY figure have to be aimed at the kids? That's all I'm saying...

Speaking for Mattel and WB... yes. Right/Wrong, Good/Bad, Better/Worse... thats the way it is. ESPECIALLY nowadays and Especially with The Batman. Thats the design and thats the plan. Nothing is going to change that mindset or what they've collectively set up. Any singular adult viewer of the show or consumer of the toys is little more than a fortunate "side effect".

Thats weird, all the Wal-Marts in my area stopped selling Batman. Anyway, have you guys seen the repaint of Firefly yet? He is all black with a neon green helmet. At least those are the colors on the back of a wave 3 Batman I saw.

Along with the recent Batmo-car / Temblor Hummer HW set, I found and bought this new one featuring a tricked out Mr. Freeze van. The Batmobile is in an almost primer like flat black with dark green stripes. Also obviously features a green / camo like mini Batman figurine.

My local KMart finally got some new Shadowtek 2, picked up Manbat and Gotham City Ghost Bats, no Joker in sight but 2 ugly yellow Robins that I left there.

I have been keeping an eye open for these with no avail. Hopefully they'll start hitting the major retailers soon.

While on vacation last week I picked up the Blue colored Hero-Cycle (above / back of card) and today at TRU I found the The Batman ShadowTek transforming Jet and Batmobile. I bought the Shadowbot Batmobile (I scored it for 13.00, regularly $30... wouldnt have bought otherwise). Pretty cool.

at TRUs I found the transforming Batmobile and Batjet thingy, that turns into the robot armor. First Ive seen these. The robot mode looks stupid, imo, but the vehicle modes look awesome. I really wanted the Batmobile, but $34.99 seemed way too much for these toys. Guess Ill skip 'em.

When it rang up at $30 I pointed out the confussion and the Manager let me buy it for $13. Would never buy it otherwise. One of my problems with the entire The Batman line is they are overpriced by comparison. Fyi, the figures are bassically rubber and mine broke pulling it out of the package.

30 Dollars is soo much... I really did not like the way they scaled the toys for the shadow tek line. Its just sizes all over the place.

I don't know what to think about this Tranformers figure it just looks like they fast needed to think about it to collect money from the transformers hype.

we had to go grocery shopping and at our local Marcs, was a crap load of The Batman toys. I was able to snatch up MetalHead for 3.99. They had a ton of figures from the last couple of waves as well as the 8 inch figs and the vehicles.
