What does this have to do with anything ? I'm saying I'm not looking forward to another Batman film with Chris Nolan at the helm...I'd rather see Nolan direct a Bond film for once, and Marc Forster might be a good replacement for the next Batman movie. If Chris Nolan does three or four Batman films in a row he'll get bored, sloppy or complacent. It happened to Richard Donner when he did the Lethal Weapon franchise because you can tell that Donner was obviously bored when he did Lethal Weapon 3.

I'd let Nolan do one more and complete his Batman trilogy, and then let someone new take over as Batdirector. Just as long as they share the same vision that Nolan did. I mean we don't want another disaster on our hands like what happened when Schumacher took over for Burton do we?

i wouldn't want the films to go in the same direction after nolan. The point is to find new and interesting ways to look at the characters artistically. My personal favorite director of all time is Martin Scorsese. I think a Scorsese-directed or even a Spielberg-directed Batfilm would be amazing. Maybe i'd do away with trilogies, and just have each film have a new vision by a different director.

I do because I wanna see what Nolan would do with the character.

yeah, i think nolan should get out of there after a 3rd movie. I think his take on Bond would be interesting, but i think in a way, the daniel craig bond that we see today is the nolan bond. Casino Royale came out right after batman begins and followed the same formula - start the character from the beginning, and make him gritty and realistic. i've always considered that version of bond to be influenced by nolan.

Yeah but Marc Forster screwed that up didn't he? Chris Nolan needs to get in there and reboot the Bond franchise. I know Forster would probably screw up the Batman franchise too but I'd rather have Marc Forster direct Batman 3 instead of Bret Ratner. If I were to compare Marc Forster to Bret Ratner I think Forster is probably the lesser of two evils.

i suppose, but this is all hypothetical. i think the bond movies are gonna be alright, i thought quantum of solace was fun. i would love for nolan to finish his batman trilogy. after that, though, i think one director per film, each with a different vision of the character. like i said, what i wouldn't give to see martin scorsese do a bat-flick, or robert rodriguez on Dark Knight Returns with Bruce Willis as an aging bruce wayne.

What about Michael Keaton as an aging Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight Returns? (Keaton looks really old.) Quantum of Solace is probaby not as bad as the critics and fans say it is but I think Martin Campbell's absence was felt. (Martin Campbell directed 1995's GoldenEye and 2006's Casino Royale.)

keaton is terrible and would not pull off the dark knight returns batman. willis has the build and they can make a really good hairpiece for him. I mean, dude's been bald all along but we've seen him with hair before.

Paul Greengrass? J.J. Abrams? And more importantly who would be the ideal writter? Richard Donner? Sam Hamm? Paul Dini? Frank Miller? David Goyer? Aaron Sorkin?

Marc Forster? no thanks! QoS was, for me, the worst movie i saw last year, don't let him anywhere near Batman!
i didn't think Casino Royale was very good either, but compared to QoS, it was good, and i now prefer it to QoS.
Nolan would probably do a good job of Bond though.

I didn't think Casino Royale was very good either. I don't know why you people hate Casino Royale so much it was gritty and realistic like Batman Begins.

having seen QoS, i have now re-evaluated my view on CR, i like it more than the new one, i certainly don't hate it.
