I saw it and it was absolutely amazing. I felt they didnt have to have so much sex, but whatever. The action scenes were certainly badass. It didnt do the greatest job of making the "superheroes" real characeristics, but it captivated me enough to block out any sort of glitch!
I plan to see it again, this time in IMAX!

[shadow=red,left,300]Saw it yesterday and I thought it was amazing. The acting was very well done and the effects were fantastic. They did a great job adapting this graphic novel to the big screen! Is it safe to say it deserves a few Academy Award nominations? [/shadow]

Saw it. Twice. Liked it, the cast was good and they got the morals of all the charaters right. It was as the best it could of been.

I saw it last night. The opening credits actually made me cry; had to of been my favorite part of the whole film. I thought it was adapted very well, so for that I felt Snyder & everyone did a marvelous job, but in the end I just thought it was okay; I felt the same about the novel. I'm really glad though I decided to read it before seeing the film. I only had one real issue which was with the second sex scene, but it was because of the Hallelujah cover, which I didn't really like, and the mix of the two; I was just cracking up. : P Okay, I also didn't like the look of Nixon, but whatever.
I was glad to learn there's to be the possible longer cut along with the separate & meld of the Pirate Comic angle along with live-action news stand scenes. Personally I'm glad the comic was animated rather than live-action; it feels more appropriate, but maybe that's just me. I'm also interested in seeing the 'Under the Hood' documentary thing heh. : )

This was one really graphic movie. I don't even think the book was this graphic. That sex scene... YO!! Alot of guy butt in this movie to.
But overall, an entertaining movie. Really enjoyed the soundtrack. I kinda think it followed the book a little to closely. I liked the books ending better, but I could see how the movie ending could give better results and be more realistic. The actors were great. My only thing is when I read, Rorshack had Jeffrey Combs voice. Yet in the movie he had Christian Bale's Batman voice. Took me back a little bit. The things they cut out, I'm actually glad they did.

Well, i've never read Watchmen, cause I'm just a Batman fan, but I decided to go see the movie. I was surprised, it was actually okay. Some aspects of it I didn't like at all, but overall it was a good movie. Roarshack was wicked. If you mix some of Roarshack's qualities and some of Owlman's qualities, it reminded me of Batman. Not to mention it was a bit confusing at times. But the message was good. I almost cried when roarshack was killed by Dr. Manhatten!

^Well, it's on my "To-Do" list. I wanna see the movie, but not sure if I wanna stare at "nude dude butt" on a big butt screen. not my idea of a constructive waste of $10, so I may wait for Netflix or Redbox, which should give me time to read the books, yea?

OK, lemme 'splain somthing. even 2 seconds of nude dude butt is 2 seconds too long. I also heard that there is male full frontal. Again, not on a big screen. But please don't misunderstand me, I am going to see The Watchmen, I'm just gonna wait for the DVD, and in the mean time, read the comic.

Why do people have so much of a problem with Dr. Manhattan in this film? It's not even a big deal! Just look up at his face!

Yeah but Dr. Manhattan is the only guy-butt in the movie. But I guess in the end it all gets balanced out by the (verging on excruciating)(almost pornographic) sex scene.

I saw this a couple days ago. I thought it was a great adaptation. I think they could have fleshed out the second Silk Spectre's part. Maybe it was more to do with the acting. I'm not sure. They really nailed Dr. Manhattan. Great job. The changes they made were for the most part understandable. Rorshach (sp?) had to be adapted. I understand why they changed his killing of the guy with the dogs. I wish he would have done more bone breaking to get what he wants. The changes they made to Nite Owl were pretty good IMO.

Saw it last night. What an incredibly "ambitious" film. Quite an exceptional adaptation and a good movie IMO. Not for the squeamish, or uninitiated. I dont personally hold the source material as sacred and think they could've cut even more out and made it more appealing / satisfying to the general masses. I can easily see and understand the average moviegoer getting confused and bored.
