Since recently, Batman is always making this statement saying that he works alone. I wonder, when did he get that kind of attitude. Was this a time before Robin? Was Batman always a solo act back when he first came out?

I see! So, the man is alone in the world. So that's how he got the attitude that he works alone.

And when you think about it, Jason Todd was killed ( the emphasis on was) and Babs Gordon got shot by the Joker and has spent a few years in a wheelchair. I'm thinking that Batman prefers to work alone since he probably doesn't want others to get hurt around him, save the bad guys he beats the snot out of.
