I love coming here for all my Dark Knight Movie Masters news specially if there's a "BATARANG" on the mist.
I'm looking foward to obtain most of the new ones: Trenchcoat Gordon, Jaill Cell Joker, Two-Face and Prototype suit and the Bank Robbery Joker.

It's cool they're making a Gordon figure. I wonder what his evidence will be? It sure won't be a "BATARANG"...

I'm looking forward to watching everyone scramble and flip when these are flying off the shelves, lol. The scalpers will be over this.
I personally can't wait for the two joker versions..the two face..the gordon..wait, all of them! lol. They're amazing sculpts....and they kick the hell out of the first Joker release!

i love the first joker release
you seem to have forgot to picture the business suit scarecrow
i was under the impression the next wave was confirmed to be sonar batman (final battle) and business suit scarecrow (chase figure?)
is this correct?

so far every wave has had chase figures
if the next wave is final battle batman and business suit scarecrow, what would the chase be? next wave could be 3 figs, or maybe they'll try 4!
first wave was 3, next was 2 (both with additional chase figure)
so far they've shown us a total of # figures 1. final battle batman 2. business suit scarecrow 3. jail cell joker 4. two-face 5. CHASE harvey dent 6. joker in bank robbery outfit 7. gordon 8. bruce wayne in pre batman suit
that could be enough for 2 to 4 waves depending on mattel
now they are kind of missing out on this line, no new figs the past 6 months no shelf presence the past 3
... if they could put out 4 or 5 figs out per wave, and get a little more shelf space, this line would soar
i'd love to see mattel treat it like DCUC
the fact that we saw no new TDK basic figs are comic con, and a couple stores dont have them anymore (big lots had them), worries me that TDK basic figs might be over on the cardback of my firefly/batman 2 pack TDK basic figs there is a harvey dent/two-face basic fig 2 pack that NEVER came out
i'd be surprised that they came out with new packaging, just to release already released figs and then scrap the line, but who knows....maybe their plan is to scrap it and make movie masters take over, time will tell i suppose

Not to put panic into anyone, as there has been no official statement from Mattel on this. Hopefully they will see this and we can get a response, Seems that EntertainmentEarth has sent out emails to those who have preordered the MM's. Heres what it says:
Thank you for ordering from Entertainment Earth. We have been notified by the manufacturer that we will not be receiving any additional shipments of Batman: The Dark Knight Movie Masters Wave 5 Case, (Item MTP6167A), because they have discontinued production of this item at this point in time. The item has been removed from your order.
I know a couple people have sent emails to BBTS and one of the other online vendors to see what their stand is on this, but EE has pulled all pics and ordering info from their site.

they showed it at comic con, i believe they are still coming....they are REALLY missing the boat on this, the dark knight is almost a year old now and we still have no two face figure....wtf

Guys this line seems to be in a state of limbo. I've spoken to Mattel, but there isn't much they can tell us. They're trying to work inside the company right now to get things worked out, far as I can tell.
We will hear something at SDCC about it, so stay tuned. Its not all that far off. My personal thought (and this is just me, nothing anyone has said to me) is that these may end up being MattyCollector.com items in the future if they can't hit retail.

The Mattycollector thing wouldnt suprise me one bit, and in all honesty, that may be the only logical way to go with these.

that SUCKS how would they handle chase figures? Hopefully they'd stop making the damn things. They're a blight on the toy collecting community, made only to fuel scalpers and showboating rather than real, passionate collecting.

i concur
*a moment of silence for the movie master line*
no one to blame but mattel how long has it been since wave 2 came out? like 9 months? way to drop the ball AGAIN mattel!!!!!!!!!!!!! (still love you guys though)
does this mean batman brave and bold is our only batman toy line? well dc universe but no dark knight basic or movie masters any more?!?!?!?!

It doesn't mean anything. Nothing has been decided. We should hear something more official at SDCC.

I really hope they don't kill this line out right. But they really did drop the ball by not getting these figures our more quickly. They run the risk of losing interest b/c of the movie being close to a year old. The only fans they keep are the die hards and that is why I have to agree with the line moving to MATTY. I hope that makes sense. sorry to rant.

Wasn't there talk when this line was first started that it was going to cover other WB comic movies after the Dark Knight figures were made. Like the other Batman movies and the Superman movies

[shadow=red,left,300]^ I was wondering the exact same thing!
Will this line soon cover other past WB Comic Book Movies such as Superman (1978), Batman (1989) and so on, along with future movies such as the Green Lantern and DC's reboots?[/shadow]

TDK merch was a mess, especially in the Toy department. There was going to be a game, but it didn't came out, we were going to get Movie Masters, but it's been almost a year and Two-Face still hasn't come out...

Wasn't there talk when this line was first started that it was going to cover other WB comic movies after the Dark Knight figures were made. Like the other Batman movies and the Superman movies The question was presented many times since the Movie Masters line was revealed, but unfortunately all we ever got from Mattel was their age old answer of "its a possibility that we will look at in the future". I mean, give us something here, thats all Mattel ever says, in any of their Q&A's on any of the collector sites. They never give a definite answer of yes or no. They never tell us if we are going to get what we want. The other toy companies do give legit, straight answers to the collectors. Mattel gives b.s.
Considering we have some industry poeple that visit here on the site I hate saying this, but you all do need to hear this. Both collectors and kids will buy Batman toys, but you have to actually make them and distribute them!
