The first issue with Wrath was great!! (#13) The art was phenomenal and a vast improvement from the previous story.
On that matter, the art with the Joker art did not impress me but the story, although Batman did have a few questionable moments at the start, was very well done and captured Joker in my eyes. I'm looking forward to more with Wrath in the next few issues!

BIG BIG NEWS!!!
CONFIDENTIALLY SPEAKING!
Mike Carlin here -- hunkered down in the world-renowned Batcave -- filing a report for the DC Nation about some recently uncovered tales of the Dark Knight! BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL has gotten off to a rousing start… bringing what we like to call "Famous Firsts" from Batman and his colleagues' careers from the deep dark shadows of the cave, out into the broad daylight of the World's comics shops and newsstands.
We've seen Batman's first use of gadgets… his first meeting with the Joker and Nightwing's first run-in with the Wrath's own protégé. And presently we're witnessing Catwoman's first time crossing paths with the young Batgirl of Gotham by comic book greats Kevin Maguire & Fabian Nicieza!
But what bizarre and intriguing adventures have we unearthed for future arcs in the BC Nation?
Soon we will reveal the first time the Joker spends the night in a Gotham jail cell… and what effect his mania can have on the good cops of Jim Gordon's police force. In a tale by TV writer Andrew Kreisberg (JLA CLASSIFIED, Simpsons and Eli Stone) and illustrated by art team supreme Scott McDaniel & Andy Owens (GREEN ARROW and TRINITY), we'll all see that a little psychosis can go a long way -- even from behind bars!
And speaking of mad! Find out where Batman ends up when he chases a white rabbit through the Batcave into one of the darkest recesses beneath his mansion -- and into the darkest recesses of his own mind! Visionary Sam Kieth (The Maxx and BATMAN/LOBO: DEADLY SERIOUS) joins master of mystery Bruce Jones for a trip down the rabbit hole that led to his first encounter with the Mad Hatter!
Ever wonder what would make a loner like Batman even consider joining a group like the Justice League of America? Writer Marc Guggenheim (Wolverine, Blade and the creator of TV's Eli Stone) has… and he's come up with a sweeping saga from Bruce Wayne's early years that led to his first meeting with the J.L.A. This amazing arc also welcomes acclaimed artist Jerry Bingham ("Son of the Demon," anyone?) back to the Bat after almost 20 years!
And, hey, who's going to pass up the very first appearance of a famed Batman nemesis in a comic book ever? Writers Nunzio DeFilippis & Christina Weir are joined by legendary DC artist Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez to introduce the ancient evil that is King Tut! That's right -- the first time the Boy King has ever fought the Dark Knight in the pages of a Batman comic will be found in BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL!
Oh, and of course, this is all Confidential at this point… but keep yer Bat Ears to the ground for when these adventures will be hitting the stands near you!!
That's all from the Gotham underground…
Carlini awaaaaaaaaaaaay!

King Tut is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully this helps get him more in the Bat mainstream. Maybe he one day he will show up more than just in the old 60's show. I already want an action figure.

To keep up discussion for this title, I've come up with a little game. Think of a story you'd like to see done in Batman Confidential and pick the writer and artist to make that story alive. I'll come up with ideas later, but does anyone want to give it a try? and i think wow. i know this message was sent a hella long time ago but it strikes me as a brilliant game you want to play. i want to play it with you. lets start making up ideas for the confidential series and seeing if the higher ups at DC might actually take some of it seriously. They did kill off Jason Todd when there were complaints, so maybe they'll listen again. i just have this errie feeling that the batfans need to write some history in this title.

King Tut being introduced is just awesome. I just hope its really King Tut. Not some other already established villain in disguise trying to fool Batman. I also hope the comic sticks as closely as it can to Tut's backstory set in the Adam West series. If mattel is smart they will make a figure as fast as they can. I can see alot of interest in an action figure. DrGreenEvil

Its only a matter of time until the Bookworm shows up! That would be kinda cool. I sometimes wonder what other characters could be introduced. The Archer, Eivol Ekdal, Puzzler, and False Face were already DC creations. No problem there. And others like Shame, the Minstrel, the Siren, Sandman, and Black Widow, as long as they got the same treatment King Tut is getting to avoid copyrights, they should be fine as well. Sorry to keep bumping this up, but this event just has me excited. DrGreenEvil

Well, it took Hastings nearly 3 days after it was supposed to be released to put it out. But I finally got it and read it last night.
King Tut was pretty cool. Saying riddles and killing people. The opening was graphic. This King Tut, at the moment, is very different from the 60's show. But once they get into his backstory he should become alot more recognizable. Really want a figure of him now. (Preferably in DCIH or JLU.)
The starting of the Batman/Riddler dynamic was really good to.
Can't wait for part 2 in one month. DrGreenEvil

^ its not the same character as the one on the 60s show. they are completely different. the only thing that is the same is the name King Tut. the comic version is inspired by the character from the show, but he isnt based on that character or is it that character appearing in comics for the first time. he is a new character that has nothing to do with the television version.

I need you to read this... www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=19148And yes - "officially" its a different character. But the comic version is chalk full of so many homages and traits based on the 60's version that we all know who they are talking about. Even DC has said that this is the same character. Its kinda like at the NYCC Batman: Brave and the Bold panel when the producer said "to keep Fox off our butts these are not the 60's villains". But then commenced say how much he loved that show and how it slinks in every once in awhile. Officially they are not, but we ALL know better.

^ in your article you posted and in interviews the writers stated that the character is actually based more on the real King Tut than the show version. yes the character is an homage to the character from the show, but they are in no way related, and are in no way the same character.
