Well I read Batman Confidential #27.
King Tut and his motivation are revealed. This was a very good read actually. They got the "Is The Riddler King Tut" plot line out of the way fast and got to the action. I loved how Riddler tried to help in his own way. Especially around the ladies. Loved King Tuts hideout. All decked out and booby trapped like something out of Indiana Jones. Alot of funny moments to. Like when Batman and Riddler are in the GCPD.
Ended on a cliff hanger. Ready for the next issue. DrGreenEvil

So am I the only one that reads (or will admit to reading) this title ? Granted I'm only reading the King Tut issues. But still, I'm the only one talking about this. Unless someones arguing semantics with me.

No, you're not the only one reading this book, DrGreenEvil. It's not a bad book. It's just yet to really find its place, I think. The stories have been average but the art has been a lot of fun to look at thus far. The Catwoman/Batgirl story was great and I'm enjoying the King Tut tale. It looks like DC plans to use this book in a similar way that "Legends of the Dark Knight" was used back in the day, (i.e. - alternate Batman stories that aren't quite Elseworlds). Or for this year, Batman stories w/ Bruce as Batman.

This is the alternative for people who don't like the change coming soon.

I'm not even about to read the regular Batman series. To convoluted and dramatic in all the wrong ways.

Well, I'm intrigued by the story and I've been reading Batman comics for a VERY long time so I'll be reading all the new stuff. But if you're a new reader...not a good time to jump on board.
But I have no doubts, Bruce will be back eventually.

Issue #28 concluded the King Tut arc.
The whole issue was devoted to Batman and the Riddler's final confrontation with King Tut. They win in the end (ofcoarse). Found out the chick King Tut kept trying to kill actually wanted to be in league with him. Caused the ep to end in, atleast what I thought was, a weird way. Well I guess if Egghead can have Olga.... They left the door wide open for more King Tut appearances. I hope they do bring him back more.
Overall, I liked this version of King Tut. I would have liked him to be kindof a smartalek to be more in line with the 60's show, but its not a big deal. What I'd really love to see if he makes more appearancess, is that you can tell he is gaining weight, having to wear large, regal robes. I just think that would be cool.
Bring on the King Tut vs Maxie Zeus issue. DrGreenEvil

I've been reading this title since #1 and I think its getting better and better. I love that DC is getting artists like Scott McDaniels and Jose Garcia-Lopez involved, both two of my all time favorites. The fact that its away from RIP is a plus. Its similar to Legends of the Dark Knight in that these stories are earlier in Batman's history, yet some LotDK issues were very odd. So far not so with BC.
