Wow, I dont think Ive even heard of this story? Im sure noy impressed or interested in any of these either way.
I'm not wowed by these figures either, but at least we get a look at how Batman looks in the event.
Get comfortable, cause I'm about to explain everything known so far about the world of Flashpoint.
Anyway, Flashpoint is DC's big summer event five issue miniseries this year with Flash as the main point. From the best I can tell, history is altered in a variety of ways. It seem similar to Marvel's House of M from '05. DC is announcing more about the event every Friday up til the release of #1 in May. Here are the links to learn more:
to add to All-Star's post, i believe it all stems from Prof. Zoom. now i'm not 100%, but based on what's been occuring in Flash, he keeps going back in time to make changes and make his life better and Barry's worse and eventually triggers an event that was too big that he changes, the flashpoint, and that event is what triggers the serious changes to the present. Barry will be attempting to find the event in time that was significantly altered and fix it and all the while Zoom is still messing around with time.
not one of the mini series interest me at all and i'm sure we'll never see this world again so the 15 mini's are just pointless cash grabs. especially since they arent tied to the main story. the main series and the tie in issues of Flash is where the main story will take place and those seem like they'll be good. i've been looking forward to this event for awhile now.

Flashpoint begins tomorrow, but before it does, I'd like throw out a theory I have concerning the Flashpoint Batman. Recent interviews have said this Batman is older than the Batman we know, so what if (and this is a big what if), the Batman of this world is really Thomas Wayne, avenging his wife and son who were killed in a mugging? Could it happen? We might see tomorrow.
Good call on that one ! I actually was going to pass on this completely, but Picked up issue 1 I'm really liking the story grabbed 2 and the Batman tie in (of course )
**** Possible spoilers******
the little details on the Thomas Wayne Batman are great. things like the manor being in disrepair , where the funding is coming from. His barely contained Rage at the the loss of his family so much more brutal than Bruce but i understand it ! he's nowhere near as skilled a fighter but his strikes are what you'd expect from a DR he knows WHERE to hit and When he meets Barry just the perspective of the character ... that he'll give up everything if it means saving his child it just screams out of the panels ! now i have to buy all of them and Batman Knight of Vengeance maybe the figure too

Great twist and a nice new take on the Batman/Joker dynamic by making it husband vs. wife. Overall, I'd say while Knight of Vengeane is a big event tie-in and an "Elseworlds", it's an amazing Batman story on its own merit.

manstink: hey has their ever been a like origin story on martha wayne. I think it would be cool if she were like in some kind of cult, and she was like ritualistically murdered for trying to leave the cult. Anyways thats my opinion.
