you know, i don't think the joker laugh is all that hard to do, you just have to let yourself get carried away with it and not think. i think a lot of people think about the laugh, and then they psyche themselves out. i was joker for halloween a year or two ago (instead of a suit i was in an arkham straight jacket with blood on it) and the laugh was suprisingly easy, chilling, and freaky as all hell once i stopped thinking about and just let myself laugh until i couldn't breathe any longer.

i hope joker opens his eyes in the movie. i know its not likely that nolan would go on and make ledger walking around with his eyes half closed cuz he had acid poured on them, but looking of all the shots of him we have so far, i dunno..

I really like the scarring at the corners of the mouth. It looks more realistic given what happened to him, and it makes him look less "clowny"

I like the scarring too! I love this pic! The only thing that I dont't like is: 1) Joker's hair could be greener 2) Joker's hair is curly, LOL
But other than these (which are minor things), it's awesome!

All is looking well with the Joker. We've all debating back and forth numerous times about what Joker should look like and act like. I am quite pleased with the he looks. It reminds me of an old Joker figure I have. As a kid, I played with that thing for hours. Now we just have to wait and see what Joker acts like.

Senator Patrick Leahy, Vermont's senior Senator, has landed a speaking role in The Dark Knight. ClickI'm probably the only person who finds this cool.

[shadow=red,left,300]Some more spoilers ... Harvey Dent reveals himself to be Batman at a wild press conference at Superior Court Dent. The National Guard patrols through downtown Gotham. At Wayne Enterprises, a new character named Reese (played by Joshua Harto) tries to blackmail Lucius Fox using Batman’s identity. Bruce Wayne discusses his plans for Lau (played by Chin Han) with Lucius Fox. But the real question is, who is Lau? Someone breaks in to the Wayne Enterprises’ Research and Development, and Fox is notified. Jim Gordon explains “just enough” to get Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) to issue search warrants. For what, we don’t know. Jim Gordon tells Commissioner Loeb (played by Colin McFarlane) that his life is threatened, Loeb drinks to that. Harvey Dent promises the Mayor a crime-free 18 months right before a fake Batman hits the Mayors Office window. A fake Batman dummy hangs from the flagpole outside City Hall. Jim Gordon tries to get Reese out out of the street entrance of a tv studio, but an angry mob appears. Bruce Wayne serves as a distraction. I wonder what Reese was doing on TV? May-be he was there to reveal Batman’s identity? But if so, why would Bruce Wayne help him out? The actor playing Reese (Joshua Harto) looks pretty young. May-be he’s an up-and-coming reporter who somehow figured out Batman’s true identity? But this still doesn’t explain why there is an angry mob awaiting his exit from the building. www.slashfilm.com/2007/08/15/dark-knight-spoilers-harvey-dents-press-conference-has-a-major-reveal -The Shadow[/shadow]

is anyone else watching the live coverage of the "hospital being blown up" stunt in Chicago? it's 5:55pm here in the UK, and i can see what looks like a rundown hospital with a huuuuge carpark with normal traffic on the roads alongside. the helicopter camera zoomed in and i could see loads of people walking around just outside the hospital entrance. there are a few vehicles in the carpark, a few of them look like those yellow school busses. the helicopter the camera is keeps circling the site showing us all angles. nothing's happened yet though. click here to see if it's still ongoing when you read this: Click

camera has now zoomed in and i can clearly read Gotham General Hospital on the front of the building.

the footage stopped streaming for half an houre so the helicopter could refuel, but it's back now. people typing posts alongside the video are referring to the chopper as Airfox, must be Fox News' own chopper. it's showing much more of the wider area now, fields and stuff and distant buildings, not really focusing on the hospital. people are typing that it'll be in another hour or so before they demolish the building. here's a news report from earlier: Click

that was wicked, it looked like it wasn't going to happen because the filming chopper went near to the building, then went away and people walked back into the entrance of the "hospital", but then a few small explosions happened, they looked like flares with white smoke, a bit disappointing, but then the whole thing went up. it looked like a fireworks factory blowing up, lasting about 8-10 seconds, then fire broke out in most of the building, sending hundreds of metres of black smoke up into the sky. as the smoke is clearing, we can see most of the building is down, some of the rear is still standing.
firemen are now putting out the fire. a car was also on fire outside the hospital.
will post a replay when i find one.
