Suffice to say that without super powers, Batman has relied on the equipment developed by Lucius Fox to get him out of trouble time & time again. His most recognizable toy being the Batmobile, which was realistically designed in Begins.
Keeping this in mind, would you be interested in seeing the 'real' Batwing debut in the BB sequel? Any other toys you'd like to see in here? Granted Batman will have been in the crime fighting business for a while now and will be bringing new game when confronting the Joker.

I'd love to see a Batwing, but not in the next sequel. They can't rush these things, and it'll need to take time for it to be realistic. A Bat-Copter could work more realisticlly. I can't really say.
Other things I'd like to see would be a Batcycle. We've never seen Bats have one of those in the movies (unless you count the 66 one with side car).

to be honest, having a batwing in a film with the Joker would look like a rip-off of the original '89 movie, and there has already been criticism that Begins was basically a re-hash of the whole '89 movie anyway (the plot with the gas/toxin being similar in both movies).
there was enough confusion from non-fans about Begins being a prequel and the story continuing with the '89 movie, so i think the last thing they should do is introduce anything that will link the old and new franchises together.
so, i would be happy with a few extra gadgets, possibly a slightly upgraded tumbler (but the same actual vehicle, maybe with more stuff on it), but with no other actual vehicles. or else it definitely would just turn into another toy-selling exercise. remember Joel Suckmacher on the B&R SE dvd? he said that film was too "toyetic", and there were enough toys from Begins already, they don't need to invent new vehicles/toys to sell to kids.

[glow=red,2,300] To be honest I agree with MuksC! But I would like it to appear in the Batcave along with the new Batmobile(if they use one)and the tumblor with a Bat Boat and everything!I would love for the Begins sequel Batcave to be Like the Jim Lee batcaves in Hush and All-star! and then put a bit of B:tas batcave in there!Man I want to see massive computer consoles and Vechiles and stuff! ;D [/glow][glow=red,2,300] Not that I think it will sell toy's but because that is what the Batcave is supposed to be like!So it wouldent just be to sell toy's![/glow]

the story for the tumbler worked well, that it was originally a military vehicle for jumping over water towing cables to build a bridge.
what story could they give a Batwing that was plausible?

[glow=red,2,300] Well it doesnt have to be in the story but can be shown in the batcave and not as a massive plane but a jet or something! [/glow]

I think an idea for a batwing isnt too far fetched but it seems unrealistic to me in Nolan's world. Seeing Gotham in Nolan's view, it just doesnt seem right to have a batwing to aid in Batman's crime spree. Im not sure of the reasoning behind my conclusion, but its just my opinion.

yeah, i agree. although it is fantasy and a comic-book hero, Nolan's Gotham looked too real for someone to be flying around in a Batshaped plane thing. the Tumbler i can believe, the Batwing I can't.
and if it did evolve from another military-type storyline, it would look exactly the same as where the Tumbler came from, and seem too "coincidental" that everything he needs just happened to be made for military purposes, but didn't go into production, meaning he can use them.
i'd rather they didn't have anymore vehicles, than to make some samey plotline for it's introduction.

[glow=red,2,300] Yeah but Wayne could have the resources to build his own!But It wouldn't look right in this style of Batman! And if The plane was in the background of the Batcave there would be no problem with that and would be fine ,and if any body complained it is easy to think that Bruce has largened his War on Crime[/glow]!

I think the only thing the Batwing would be used for would be going overseas to battle Ra's Al Ghul or something. Same for the Batboat. Besides, I think the Batmobile would be enough, since Batman's cape doubles as a glider.

I gotta agree that i really want to see minimal changes to Bat's Arsenal for the next Film. Some slight upgrades to what he has but that's it as i'm hoping this next Movie doesn't jump too far ahead from the end of the last one.A Batwing would detract from the more"real"approach that's being taken imo.I'd prefer character development over gadgets as i'd love to see his Detective skills really develop next. And going on History of past Films,he only gets to fly them once and they're wrecked anyways lol.

I pretty much agree with Andy here... although a flying machine would be clearly beneficial and would be the next logical step for this Batman. My concern is that the advances are sensible, appropriate and not over the top. For examply I would like to see some alterations / modifications done to the Tumbler, and I would enjoy seeing a Bat-Copter (which I think would fit nicely). I think seeing the creation and advancement of the cave will fill the be "gadget" quota quite well for the sequel.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Just with a basic idea of what the sequel will hold, I can't see the Batwing fitting in there. Personally, I'd like to see the birth of the technologically advanced Batcave and maybe a few upgrades to the Batmobile and bat-gadgets. One of the things that made the first four films so campy was the use of over-the-top vehicles so WB could market new toys. They all seem so badly placed.[/shadow]

I don't know. The batwing is one of those things that gets kid's so hooked on Batman. However, I can't see this thing fitting into the movie. I really think Batman needs to become the detective. Batman, at this point, knows much about fighting and he has an arsenal of weapons and tools. The only thing that he needs is the scientific and detective skills. No Batwing is needed.

It just doesnt seem like Batman needs those types of arsenals. We want to keep this feeling of the movie real. And BB did it well with the memory cloth touch and I hope they keep that as his only aeriel transportation
