Since this is the really The Dark Knight, which villain would you like to see redone in a sequel and why? For me it's Bane. He's the man who broke Batman's back, and they made him a dribbling idiot .

Twoface. If they get him right, it could be the best Batman movie.

For me it's Two-Face. After enjoying the B:TAS Two-Face two parter episodes, I was choking on my own rage watching Tommy Lee Jone's "Jokerized" version of Two-Face. I'd love to see the Harvey Dent/Two-Face character done right instead of Schumacher's Harvey Two-Face bastardization.

i want to see the Joker. hes my favorite villain, but very few mediums, besides comics get him right. in TAS he was good in a few, but a lot were silly and lame. in Batman he was alright, but not perfect IMO. i would love to see a good one that gets his serial killer-type side.

As long as we don't get to see the Riddler again I'll be happy. Anything Riddler sucks.

My vote goes to Mr. Freeze, because I think that many of the other choices are already likely to happen (Joker, Two-Face, probably Bane) - could you imagine how good Patrick Stewart or Kevin Spacey might be as Victor Fries? Schumacher (and Arnold) absolutely butchered one of my favorite characters in B&R, so it has left me cold for 8 years...I mean, I haven't cooled on the issue...it chills my heart to even think about it. Sorry.

Schumacher (and Arnold) absolutely butchered one of my favorite characters in B&R THIS IS WHY I PUT THIS POOL UP! SCHUMACHER RUINED MANY OF BATMAN'S CLASSIC VILLAINS! I HOPE THEY REMAKE ALL THE VILLAINS HE RUINED(especially Bane)!

yeah even Burton didn't do a super good job with Penguin, Catwoman, and Joker. and Schumacher absolutely ruined them all.

I'd love to see Bane. They could have a 'Knightfall' type story.

yeah a knightfall type story would be good. i think they should do that for the like the third one though, it would build up his experience, so it would seem a more personal defeat.

Poison ivy, i would have said two face but they're already remaking him. ivy would be a good choice cause B&R didnt do the best job with her, she was to maniacal. she could team up with/or help ras al ghul since they both have similar opinions on gotham. i think nolan would do great with her.
i also REALLY wanna see catwoman but i dont know if anyone can beat michelle pfiefer's performance. she was brilliant, but if she is in one of the next movies she better be better than her prievous version (not halle's, michelle's) and with that i would be more than happy.

We knoiw that Joker and Two Face are a given so i'm not worried about them.Catwoman, well i'd hate to see anyone try and improve on Michelle Pfeiffer so i'm leaving her out.Penguin i'm not really that worried about seeing again to be honest. It would have to be Bane or Ivy done right i would reckon.I'm just undecided which i would like to see more, probably a properly done Bane would translate better onto Film so i'll just go with him for this vote.

With the script that everybody was given to play each Villian I think all of the villians were represented pretty good, with The Joker sitting atop the heap as the very best, followed by Catwoman...
But there are two villians that were done wrong and it was a toss up between Bane and Mr Freeze, and I voted Mr. Freeze. Bane hasn't been around that long in the Batman myth and really had no business being in a Batman Movie before other villians so I am not bothered so much by the dumb route they took with Bane, what does bother me is the goofy Mr. Freeze. Arnold was just a bad choice for the role. The costume was ridiculous, they should have gone with Batman: The Animated Series style type of suit for the movie and had a less known actor play Victor Freeze like a Arnold Vosollo (The guy from The Mummy) or even a Robert Englund. Arnold was not believeable as a scientist, and if Mr Freeze gets a chance to be in a film again I think they need to take a totally different approach to him
I see alot of people voted mostly for Two Face and I thought Tommy Lee Jones did a great job with the role. He was conflicted and always used the coin to decide the fate of others or something he was doing. Perhaps if they didn't have Drew Barrymore or Debi Mazer as his female sidekicks he would have seemed more sinister

Here are some ways that the villains didn't do too well JOKER- Not crazy enough PENGUIN- Not really classy like other counterparts CATWOMAN- Alright, But needs to be remade after her crappy movie.(If you wanna do a movie with Catwoman, make sure Batman's in it.) RIDDLER- More like Joker TWO-FACE- More like Joker BANE- IDIOT FREEZE- Too many puns IVY- No Monkey Costume- PLEASE! Burton and Schumacher screwed up. But Nolan got Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow just right. ;D

I'm with Azrael24 on this! Ivy needs to be seen again in her true self not in the campy way she was portrayed in B+R {However i did like Uma in the movie!} And the other character would be Catwoman because i find her an interesting character who can be good and bad when she wants!

I'd like to see Harvey Dent/ Two-Face re-done in the sequels, becoming the sort of Anakin Skywalker; the good guy who falls to "the dark side" because of power/ a quest to do good gone horribly wrong. (Minus the mullet and whining from Episode II, of course....)

i'd like to see mr. freeze. his modern origin is just so dramatic. Are you referring to the Paul Dini B:TAS origin? If so, then, I agree with you...He turned a lame villain (Mr. Zero...What a fitting name for his previous incarnation...), and turned him into one of the best villains in comics, instead of just another generic cold villain...

Joker and Two-Face are pretty much guaranteed for the new films. And although Penguin in Batman Returns was not that much like the comic book version, I was still satisfied with the character. This may come across as a surprise, but the villain that I really want to see done better is The Riddler. Think about it...he fits right into Nolan's realistic world. He's an intelligent human with an obsession for riddles and puzzles. What does Riddler do? He leaves riddles as clues to his crimes. The only riddles Jim Carrey's Riddler left were clues to his own identity. To tell you the truth, they could've just changed the character to Mad Hatter (c'mon, mind manipulation...that's Mad Hatter all the way) and cut out the riddles...and the story would still be the same! I'd love to see The Riddler return as a more cold and calculating individual who actually uses his riddles to clue Batman and the GCPD in on his crimes. I'd love to see them use the plot from The Batman's "Riddled" which is not only my favorite The Batman episode but also my favorite Riddler story. A Die Hard With A Vengeance-like plot with Batman and the GCPD trying to find and defuse bombs while Riddler has other plans. No leotard suit, please. I know that it's in the comics, but I'd rather see him in a suit. Speaking of the suit, I'd love to see a redesign. Not like The Batman's because I can't see that work in live action. Something a little more realistic not just because of Nolan's realism but because it would just look better, IMO. I mean...what kind of intellectual wears a green suit?? My idea? Reverse the colors of the traditional green suit with black question marks...and make it a black suit with a few green question marks. Don't put a lot of question marks though. It should be subtle to reflect Ed Nigma's reserved nature. Put him in a black suit. Black tie with a green question mark on it. Black bowler hat with a green question mark on it. And here's something I'd change...no purple mask. Why does he wear a mask? It hardly changes his face or hides his identity. One can easily tell that it's Frank Gorshin or Jim Carrey when he's wearing it. Instead, I'd put him in black sunglasses, but with a bit of a green tint (think The Matrix if you want). And have them cover his eyes the whole time. You never see his eyes. It would give a creepy quality to Riddler as well as reflect how he feel superior to others- nobody is fit enough to see his eyes. As for casting, I'd go with...yet another comedian. Hugh Laurie is a British actor, much like the Batman Begins cast. He has a killer American accent in his show, House. There, he plays an arrogant, yet intelligent doctor who even occasionally has his ins and outs with morals. There was a really creepy moment in the season finale when he deliberately caused a patient to have some form of a seizure. He wanted a urine sample, but the patient wasn't going to give it during the seizure, so Hugh/House took a syringe, plunged it in the guy's bladder, and obtained the urine himself. Although he's a comedian, he's very much like a British Michael Keaton- he can do creepy dramatic whenever he chooses. Did I mention that he looks A LOT like Edward Nigma?
