If you could have the Batmobile, which one would you want? For me it's the Tumbler, but I wouldn't mind having the '89/Returns one.

'89 Batmobile all the way. I can just see me driving to work in it now... ;D

Can't I have the TNBA Batmobile? Anyway I'll pick the slick beauty from '89 even though driving the Tumbler would be more fun.

i've always been a fan of the Forever batmobile, i love its sleek body and 'ribs' where you can see its internal organs. plus it has a flappy big wing thing on the back, and cool rims that light up and stay horizontal at all times, so the Batlogo remains in the correct position.
obviously the Tumbler would be the most practical and you could drive it on any terrain, but based on sheer looks, i'd take the Forever one.
(it won't let me vote, it says i haven't selected an option)

i've always been a fan of the Forever batmobile For sheer style and imagination I agree Yeah, Bats would never really choose such a rolling light parade for his crusade, but gotta admit its an amazing design. Same goes for the B+R version imo. Practicality and "realism" aside, I just enjoy and admire their aesthetic appeal, Bat-association, and coolness! Come to think of it, I dont believe outside of the comics, there has been a single one I havnt liked to some degree?

[shadow=red,left,300]It won't win points in the looks department, but I went with the Tumbler. When I first saw pics of it prior to Begins release I was hesistant, but after seeing it in all of it's glory on screen, I was sold.[/shadow]

After seeing The Tumbler on screen, the other Batmobiles seem so 'stiff'. The Tumbler is amazing, turning sharp corners and jumping around on roofs. Too cool.

I went with the 89; with the high cost of gasoline it appears to be better choice for fuel economy. Why settle for one 89 for those black tie events and the tumbler for everything else.

The Batman Forever Batmobile is definately underrated. People can't look beyond the glow-in-dark engine. I think it's a cool feature because it highlights how powerful this beast is. Personally I think the Forever BM looked more like the Batmobiles they used in comics books.
I hate the B&R Batmobile. I just CAN'T STAND open canopies. It makes it easier for any sniper - and thief for that matter. Apart from that I think the design is crap as well - it looks like a big shoe. Speaking of vehicles, I loved Robin's Redbird, while the movie was crap, that piece was kewl IMO.

Batman Forever's was awesome. The armor of the '89 one was pretty cool. I think that I would like the '66 one though. I could spend my whole driving experience making really bad puns. "Robin, activate the bat-turn signal". "Holy wrong turn Batman, the Batcave is left". "Robin, go get a bat-paddle. Oh, and if you are wondering, this paddle is HOLEY. Show you not to be a bat-seat driver."

Anyone can easily climb in and go on a joyride. Bad design Schumacher!

I went with the '60s version by default because I'm an old-school kind of guy. Really, though, I like the one in TNBA. I prefer the simple approach.

I was torn between the Tumbler and 89/Returns, but then I realized the Tumbler would probably be easier to parallel park, lol

Oh, most definitely the Tumbler. Especially since it actually did almost all of the things in the movie itself, no SFX for the most part. I doubt any of the others could do the things they did in their respective movies, so owning them would be mostly for show, I would think...but I've been wrong before...

Am I the only one who's fond of the original BTAS design? I love seeing it in the credits of every episode, with its exagerated, curved-out art deco design. Plus, it's the only one, aside from the Tumbler, that actually looks like its armored and dangerous.
Another honorable mention is the Batman Beyond hover-bat thingee, because a flying Batmobile is just logical and practical. In fact, I like the Frank Miller take on that very idea. It just seems intuitive that Batman's car would be have a Delorean-like hover feature. I hope that this is the future of Batmobile designs, especially in the comics.
The Schumacher designs look too flashy and peacockish to me. Aren't these cars supposed to inspire fear?
Of course, I'm of the opinion that Bats would have many cars for many occasions, just as he has boats, planes, choppers, etc.

*boggle* you mean people aren't all going totally for the 89-mobile? and some people actually ADMIT to liking the FOREVER car? ?? *falls over in a dead faint* *wakes up 2 mins and 49 secs later* well, actually, the looks of 89 is fabulous, but ......i do have a soft spot for the forever car, cuz i also liked the movie (well, parts. bruce wayne came alive.). the back fin is kinda outa proportion to the rest of the thing, but.....someone posted a "profile" picture of it, and i do like the ribs and the fact that even sitting still it looks like it's moving about 120 mph and blowing sand/dirt/leaves into your face on the way past.

Hi Gang, This is my first post here on the L.O.G. Anyway, I vote for the 89 because of its' looks, design, and all out coolness. Although I did love the 66, it was a ," time and place thing". For 1966 it was ...and still is.... highly kool, but as previously stated,,,sniper city if you rode around in it in real life.
I also belong to the C.L.T.C. page where a number of us Bat-Nuts are actually building replicas. Some,,,, like mine are full sized, others are creating very kool gocarts.
I will gladly answer any questions about my project, but just be pacient please, as I don't get on line alot. Sincerely, BatBill

I voted for The Tumbler, and not for the way it looks but for the way it operates. It is a hardcore believable all terrian vehicle, that totally kicks a**.
The 66 version and the 89 version are pretty cool looking cars, but if I was Batman I would want a Batmobile that could go anywhere at any given time and for me, The Tumbler get my vote

Thanx - i touched it!! lol! Its so much smaller than what you would imagine - but everything that is on the sets is fake! Its incredible - ER, Gilmore Girls, Friends, Charmed, Batman, Poseidon, Cheers, Fraiser, Truman Show, Spiderman 3 are some of the things i got to see but managed to get some photos when the cast/crew were not around!!!
Thanx to my Teacher MR NUNNS - he organised this trip and worked really hard and got us to do exclusive things that many people wont get to! The Friends set is being 'destroyed soon - so im happy to have got to see it!!
