At the end of the movie when the water mains are breaking all over the city and the train is heading for Wayne Tower, the older guy who worked there taking about the main rupturing looked familiar. He's the guy in the beginning of Superman II talking to John Ratzenberger's character about the astronauts on the moon. I didn't notice it until I watched Batman Begins on DVD.

You're right, he (Shane Rimmer) was in a Superman movie, but according to his IMDB page it was Superman III, not II. www.imdb.com/name/nm0727300/ Haha, he was kind of a funny character---Really, Goyer/Nolan, how many times did we need this guy to remind us (the audience) that if the pressure reaches Wayne Tower the whole thing's "GONNA BLOW!" I understand having that guy say it once, but he says almost the same thing twice...his speech seemed pretty redundant, especially since we already knew what was going to happen from Ra's and Batman's expositional dialogue.

It must be a typo in his bio because it was definitely Superman II. "What's a curl?" "Isn't that what the old Canaveral guys called a comet with an east west trajectory?" "How should I know, I was in highschool at the time."

That's awesome. I'll have to go watch Superman now. It's on TV everyday here so I'll check it out.

You're right...actually we both are...I didn't look further down the IMDB page after I found out he was in Superman III (credited as a State Policeman). Like you said, he was also in Superman II, (as a Controller). I guess this guy has a thing for bit parts in the DC movie universe!

I actually noticed that in the theater. I laughed to myself because I wondered whether it wasn't some inside joke. It's basically the same role.
