I think he neds to be a bit more scary than he is in the films like I'd like to see the All Star Batman type character like below: whilst keeping there realism

I don't think he should be like the All Star version, but I will say that the book does show that Robin can be introduced and still have a dark Batman, unlike the Schumacher movies. And just because we can never get tired of it: I think this should be referenced somehow, like either having Bale say it, or Joker can say "That goddamn Batman."

i think the batman from Frank millers books is the ideal batman,cold and calculating but with a (small) human side.

Batman can be dark and terrible without resorting to hard levels of violence. It is the lurking in the shadows and the fear of his presence that aids him. That is the scary part. The fear of the unknown. Taking on thugs one on one, away from the main group creates his reputation.

As much as I love Frank's Batman, it's too erlie too him like that in a film. He has to grow cynical, & he has to act arrogant, & the arrogent part doesn't work for me.
