Posted this on the batman forums but it seems dead over there so I decided to repost the topic here. I believe it'll last 4 seasons tops.

I'm gonna say two - I think old school bat fans won't like because it's so different from the TAS of the early 90's, and, if what I'm hearing from the comic con is correct - that the show lacks it's own quality - it won't go past two seasons.

I think it will last 3 seasons, but I hope for more. It seems not too many things last too long these days especially “kids” cartoons.
I like what I see so far and while a few hardcore BTAS fans will not be happy, I think most Batman fans will embrace the show and it will be a hit for a short while.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I'm saying four. All I know about TV shows and their season lengths involved live-action shows, so I am not at all in on animation (the only exceptions are "Simpsons" and "King of the Hill" because they're prime time).
Four "seasons" (four years, 2-3 seasons) with about 65-80 episodes seems to be the usual length for an animated kids show.[/shadow]

Meh, 3 seasons, I would like it to be an even 4 seasons, but three seems more likely.

I am going to say three since many people will not like this show, since this show is nothing like the old one, but I hope it lasts longer, and I do not mean to sound negative about the show above, as I think it looks awesome, from what I have seen.

Nothing for nothing, but if it was like the old one I'd be disappointed...All those stories have been told so I want something different...I don't want the cookie cutter Batman cartoon. As long as they have stories that are entertaining and stand on their own I'll be happy. PJ

[shadow=green,left,300]I'm gonna vote for 6 or more. That may seem like wishful thinking...and it is I have a feeling that after an ep or two this toon will be well received 2 seasons are already being done.[/shadow]

Posted this on the batman forums but it seems dead over there What Batman forum did you post this on? I wasn't aware that there was another Batman forum on the net. That said, I agree with you on the 4 seasons. Since 2 are in the bag so to speak, I think it will last another 2 seasons after that. A typical "season" anymore is somewhere around 30 - 35 episodes. Nowhere near the 60+ that I remember from my childhood unfortunately. It seems like there are higher expectations for shows, earlier now. That's, I believe, due to cable having a million different channels - if it doesn't catch on in a big way within 3 seasons, the show is doomed. Look at MOTU if you don't believe me.....

Despite my personal high hopes or this incarnation, I think it's only going to make it two or three. I just have the feeling it's not going to be too well received or just kinda go un-noticed then again, the new movie could make all the diference?

3 sounds about right. I don't know why theres people complaining about it not being TAS style. That style has been around for so long. It needs a fresh start. The animation in The Batman looks great. So hopefully we'll get about 3 seasons.

[shadow=red,left,300]the show hasnt even AIRED yet...
for pete's sake...
I think adult Batman fans will have a little harder time accepting/watching it...compared to kids who will be in awe and in love with this show... But I'm sure most adults will turn around and realize that this show isn't trying to beat BTAS or TAS...nothing really will or even can. It's just another show allowing a newer generation to be in touch with Batman...bringing a huge wave of Bat Fans...
*omg...what am I saying??*
I really want to have hopes for this show, but nothing's really sparking it Maybe when I see the first couple eps, I'll change my mind.[/shadow]

A season is 13 episodes, so you will see 26 episodes for sure. You will probably find out if there is another season sometime in January.

I voting for three, because I must admit, I think it will do fairly well with the newer generation, my brother likes the look of Bats and some of his friends do too.

[glow=blue,2,300]I think it will last a long time, I mean if WB and Mattel didn't truly believe the series would be successful, they would not have gone ahead and made the BatWave toys. [/glow]
