OK I finally got to take the piece of plastic I wanted. So here's a picture of it in 3 stages...first with the pattern...then with the piece of black foam...And finally with the piece of plastic. The plastic was a top of a baby wipes container I cut and painted black. I think it works well like this. Hopfully I'll have my Zip-Action Batman for it tomorrow. PJ Finished pic. #2

Looks pretty cool. I am going to have to try that out. I may see if I can match the silverish color for the top though.

As of right now I'm using a piece of foam that was on the back of a Batman note pad I had. I will be switching it to a thin piece of plastic...That is as soon as the plastic I'm thinking about using is avalible. Also I think the color silver you would want to match is gun metal. PJ

Looking pretty good. Thanks for the tip on the color. Are you going to try to put some hinge on the top, or just make it just sitting on. I am going to look around and see if there is some kind of plastic hinge I could glue on.

Nah, I wouldn't use silver for the roof, I would stick with black

No I'm not going to go with a hinge...When I used the plate it's own force from being put under the peak in the back sealed it down...So the piece of plastic I want to use should do the same thing. The piece of foam isn't getting the spring the plate had. Also I intend to paint mine black when I do cut out the piece of plastic. PJ

[shadow=navy,left,300]I haven't been paying much attention to the other boards, but does Batman fit in the Batmobile with the open top covered? Just wondering...[/shadow]

Just wondering...[/shadow] I don't know, but I'd think he would. I won't know for sure until the basic figures are released...Because the deluxe figures don't fit into the Batmobile with their armored feet & shoulders. PJ Anyway the other Animated lines(Hasbro & Mattel BTAS, TNBA, & JL) DO fit in it with the top on it.

hey, cool idea pj! i really like the overall design of this batmobile but i was a bit annoyed by the open cockpit... can't wait to see it finished up! Thanks...I really like this design. And I got to say the car itself is pretty cool. And for now it looks pretty good with the black foam piece I put on it. Like I said I have a piece of plastic I want to use which will have more spring to it...thus locking it into place. But I figure it'll be a week until I can take the plastic. PJ

It looks great PJ! Nice job. And what's with all this " Accurate Costume Josh" ? Lol I'm joining in. Go to "The Gathering" and you mwill find the thread in there that explains what it's all about. You just pick a variant name, like acid strike Batman or Croc Hunter Batman, something like that, but I see you have already caught on ;D
