[shadow=blue,left,300]OK, so I was digging through some boxes the other day and I stumbled across a custom animated Kingdom Come Superman I had done back in the late 90's....gosh it was terrible...lol.....BUT, it got me thinking and since I have seen so many great customs right here at LoG, I thought it would be kinda cool for everyone to show the VERY FIRST CUSTOM figure you ever did!
So that being said, please feel free to use this thread to post pics of that first creation! Should you need help hosting a pic, please PM and I will do it for you!
Only one rule, keep it clean! Other than that, anything goes here! Batman, Superman, hell even Snapper Carr...all customs are welcome so long as it is the first you ever did!
I figure it will give many of the excellent customizers here at LoG an opportunity to show your humble begginings (except for Faithfulbutler, who has been kicking butt since day one with his first - Spoiler Robin ;D)!
I look forward to some interesting and entertaining photos! [/shadow]
[shadow=orange,left,300]***I will add a pic of the afformentioned KC Supes when I get to my home PC later tonight***[/shadow]

Okay Peev i get the hint,i won't add my first custom to this thread. So instead i will show you the first ever action figure i "modified".he was an Assault Gauntlet batman from the LOTDK line.He was just a simple repaint and i did him whatever year LOTDK was first released. It was my first foray into messing with figures and i didn't do anything else until i made my Spoiler.I personally don't class straight repaints as customs so i hope this is okay.

[shadow=blue,left,300]On the contrary! Repaints are just fine as mine is just that! A simple (and god-awful) repaint I did about 5-6 yeras ago...and the funny thing is...I STILL STINK! My first attempt at customization...an animated KC Superman.... [/shadow]

I'd show something, except my early attempts don't exist anymore. (Well, the earliest attempts would be G.I.Joe figures with swapped and repainted parts, but that was circa 1984...) My first attempts as a grown-up have long since been recycled for parts. The evidence has been destroyed! Ya can't prove nothin', copper! Casimir Inanimate Objects www.pilliod.net

[shadow=red,left,300]My first "customs" were just simply repaints of the 1993 McDonald's Batman happy meal figure. I had several extras lying around and figured I would mess with them. [/shadow]

Oh man, I'll have to do some diggin. I still have most all I ever did but when I dug out the box bask when we had the contest, most were covered in dust and broken and, well, just gonna have to build up the courage to show LOL. off the top of my head, I did several attempts at "Amalgam" storyline figs.

In all reality, I did use a black pernament marker to make my jedi luke into the gi joe lowlife back in the early 80s....but no one wants to see that lol.[/shadow]

Okay, but you have to promise not to laugh (too much). That figure on the right started life as Beetlejuice. Both figures have been rattling around in a box with other figures for about a decade or so, and that's why the paint is chipped in places. I thought about touching it up first, but decided to concentrate on new figures instead.

That's pretty good Batwulf! I recognized him instantly though!! Do you remember - did he start out life with a black and white striped suit?

Actually, the suit is the color that came right out of the blister. It's the 'tux' he wore near the end of the film, when he was trying to force a wedding to Winona's character. "My life is a darkroom. One...big...dark...room." Great movie. Then the sandworm crashed the wedding and swallowed him. Ah well. I actually used to pose this figure alongside a Keaton Batman. "Batman is beside himself in his never-ending battle against the Joker." And now that I think of it, they made a 'Beetlejuice' car as well, which I spraypainted black as yet another Batmobile. I should try to find the box that it's living in sometime.
