I have no mod or sculpting talent. My idea is a large clayface (BTAS style) like in the Sin Tzu game. Use the old BTAS clayface toy as a reference and scuplt a bigger one......one to use with the mattel line. The arm movement wouldn't matter, there wouldn't even need to be really. Who could make such a thing? It would be for a child so it couldn't be toxic (like excessive paint, ect). Also, it would have to be tough, for playing, not just a model. How much would such a thing cost if I had someone scuplt it? Who? Where?

Given your specific needs, I would say the only hrdle would be coming up with a suitable material that can be molded w/o any special equipment and still provide the "sturdyness" youre asking for.

The best way to do it is make a heavy wire frame of the figure first. Then you would really need a resilient and very tough sculpting putty.Super Sculpey may be okay but becuase you want play value i would suggest you make one out of sculpting clay. Then have it moulded and cast one out of a good quality casting Resin. As for being toxic, sealing the completed piece should offset any toxicity and use Acrylics for paint which are non-toxic. Hope that helps.

Yes LOTDK clayface is sweet. But the look of the BTAS clyface is so much sweeter.

I think it would look great!Unfortunately don't look my way at the moment,i have so many customs planned and in progress that i wouldn't be able to get to it for some time.Even though i would like to do a Clayface somewhere in my lifetime, whenever that may be lol. ;D

"I JUST HAD AN EPIPHANY'lol.[and it didn't even hurt!]
Okay bear with me.Batlaw talking about LOTDK gave me an idea for you or someone else.A LOTDK Bane would make a great base for a BTAS-style Clayface. He is a huge fig and you could sculpt a clay-type body straight over the top of him.Taking the time you could retain the articulation too. Use your imagination,i could really see that working well.

I have been thinking about this one for a while. What if you took a BTAS clayface (which is bigger than the average 5" figure) and just lengthened the legs? He would still have a bigger girth than a 6" figure. It would not be that much of a challenge to cut a leg above and below the knee and sculpt leg extensions. I plan on using some type of epoxy putty, such as Kneadatite.

Thats not a bad idea IamI.. perhaps one could also do something cool with two or more BTAS Clayfaces? sorta, merging /melding them into one biggie? Ryche on!
P.S... excited for Mindcrime 2!?

maybe... just maybe there's if there's someway kind of non-toxic, durrable, air drying clay/epoxy out there a Rotocast Hulk could be used as the base...
Just lob off the head, cut off the pants (or if you're going to immature about it and giggle, sculpt over them) and find some way to "block off" whatever joints you plan to keep (maybe tag board or some thin-but-strudy paper?) sculpt over that with said might-not-exist-clay and paint in a safe non-toxic earthy brown and he'd make a fine 1ft semi-articulated Clayface.
Edit: it turns out there actually is such a non-toxic/won't destroy a rotocast substance: Hot Glue.
If you coated a rotocast Hulk in hot glue he'd make a lovely drippy looking Clayface
