Wow... (speechless)
Where was that in 1989?
I'm in awe of everyones customs, the time and effort everyone spends is amazing... I really think it's customs that bring a fresh face to the toy world.

As i said on SHH, this is very, very nice. Being a Keaton buff, I can really appreciate the effort put into this.

WOW!!!! Truly amazing. Too bad we'll never get a figure like that. If at least the Horsemen would do a Batman Begins figure for the DC Superheroes line...

we(or a select few) WILL get a figure like that, or at least very similar ala DC direct style... its one of my goals, so you WILL see it one day for sure, in one form or another.... ill try and see whats up about the rigths and licensing when i get going, if anyone actually knows where the heck it is and who has it, let me know. i mean, ill probably loose the fight for the right but ya know, ill make say around 30-50 or so figures(secretly) joker, batman returns, forever, etc... and ill hand em out to some lucky folk if I break into DC direct hopefully i can do something like that when i get some sort of recognized name and have some type of rep. but thats the last ditch effort, hopefully whoever the hell has the batman movie license will get some sense knocked into them before i get ahold of them but If i do get into a major company il want to do something that hasnt been done.. concerning batman hopefully something will come of it...

DANG..just dang!
I love the adam west and keaton one very much. I think the Keaton sculpt resembles the efectiveness of Takara Batman Begins. Just great to gawk at!

I really like how it looks just like he stepped out of the movie and got frozen into PVC.

Top-notch! No doubt about it!
You really nailed the finer details of the '89 suit which makes this custom a home-run in my book. You've got the studs on the palms, ribbed gloves, spats, '89 batarang... I wouldn't be surprised if you even added the Nike symbols to the shoes.
The only thing I can nit-pick (and I really mean 'nit-pick' since you're obviously keen on details) is the cape. It seems just a tad short. Plus I think maybe a different material would look more like the actual leather cape used in the film.
But in any case, excellent work Spidey2007! I'm impressed!

haah thansks alot guys. believe it or not the cape wasnt leather in the movie! this is the best material i could find on the face of the earth that resembles his cape in 6INCH form. putting a leather cape on him would look ridiculous.. lol trust me.. it wouldnt hang nowhere near aswell, and what i was going for is the hanging/real look. the cape is a centimeter or 2 short, i knew this as i was cutting it, but i said F it, im no sewing a brand new cape for 2 centimeters... i will add teh nike symbols on teh DCD version undoubtedly. i WAS going to use teh peter parker air force ones from the spiderman movie line.. but they didnt adapt well with the calves i was using, so i scrapped them thanks again guys!

And now that you mention it, the texture does look really good, especially for the scale. the cape is a centimeter or 2 short, i knew this as i was cutting it, but i said F it, im no sewing a brand new cape for 2 centimeters... I don't blame you at all. Do you have a site with pics of your customs? If so, I'd really like to check it out. Also, any insight into how you made this one would be great!

Im gonna go all 89 geek on yall for a minute.lol
The cape was made of a wool material that was only available in the UK, very heavy. It was then covered with latex which gave the leather like texture you see. An interesting note, only the first insdie front panels were latexed, so if you look closely at pics when he has the cape spread, you can see the wool material.

Thanks for clearing that up Shadowbat69!
You've just shattered my preconceptions of the '89 suit. Next thing I'll find out is that the cowl was actually made of foam instead of rubber... oh... wait... DOH!!!
