Thanks for posting the link.
Now, its no secret that I am NOT a Supes fan. I prefer my bat...however, I'm also a sucker for great packaging..and the Returns figures are really fantastic visually. I wish the Begins figures had been half that nice!
BUT....and I say this will a big sigh...a line full of Superman doing different things...just doesn't cut the mustard for me. I would've almost thought about it...but no lois..no lex...just supes...super supes...super duper super supes and lift up a truck supes.
ugh.

Love the packaging and how it resembles Batman Begins figure packages. The figure itself looks pretty good and I wouldnt argue having it in my collection. Perhaps my Batman and Superman figure can duke it off XP

From what I read on the movie, Luthor is going to be the only villian. I think he's probably going to be in wave 2 but I highly doubt a Lois Lane figure would get made. I honestly don't see Superman Returns as a major toyline. More like a few waves and that's it. What can you really do with Superman?

It's going to be almost a "filler" like the Begins line - just something to capitalize on the movie and then fade away when the hype dies down.

You know, those that know me well around here know that I LOVE SUPERMAN. Yes, every bit as much as Batman. I am always quick to say how great SUperman is, etc. etc.....
That said, I am NOT HAPPY with what I have seen from this line. I don't know what it is, but outside of the packaging that Matt mentioned, nothing about this line makes me say "I have to have it".....
Still....I'll probably still end up spending a lot of $$$ on it. Again, I loves my Supes. ;D ;D

[shadow=red,left,300]I'm really digging the packaging designs for the figures. It's a heck of a lot more eye catching than the Begins figures. However, I haven't really seen anything from this line yet that warrants a purchase. Who knows, a few months from now that may not be the case..you never know. [/shadow]

Im not completly thrilled by the toys but they do fit nicely with the BB line.
What they should do is to produce a 6" scale SA version of both the Begins Batman and Returns Superman in the DCSH line..

I bought a couple at Walmart and think they are perfectly fine. At least as good as the Begins figures and at best a bit better. I think the major downfall IMHO is the actual character/costume design rather than the quality of the figs. I think theyre easily of the same quality and excel in fine detail. As with the Begins line you really only need one or two at most to pretty much get everything/anything you would want from the line, but kids might be interested in the Misc. accessories? Like everyone else I think the Clark to Supes is the best fig due to the ball shoulders but what sucks is the others IMO have "cooler" or tougher facial expressions. Most seem to be slightly bow legged and they really couldve been better with ankle and wrist joints IMO but the ball jointed neck is nice and well done. I wont be buying anymore but I am and will happy to have these few.

Found them at Wal-Mart as well and completely agree with Batlaw's take. They are fine representations of the source material, IMO, slightly more so than the Begins line. The packaging is top notch.

I hope Mattel Argentina gets this figures soon. I'll just buy the Clark to Superman figure. Just to have one "SR".
