Have I ever told all you guys that Shawn aka peev34 is the Shiznit! He went to the KC comic con this past weekend and got not one but TWO sketches for me. the first, by a pal of ours, Rick Burchett. If you're not familiar with Rick..or maybe his name sounds familiar..he's THE MAN when it comes to Batman animated comic work. I've idolized his work for many, many years, and its a thrill to have this piece. He's been doing some The Batman work...most notably so far the Scholastic Batman 'Going Batty' book (which can be seen here: www.legionsofgotham.org/BOOKSscholastic.html)Rick went way above and beyond the call of duty when doing this one! www.legionsofgotham.org/SKETCHrick.jpgand the next from the Green Arrow team of hester and parks...whom I love! and found out that they will be at my local comic shop on FCBD..so I'm psyched to meet them in person. www.legionsofgotham.org/SKETCHGA.jpgI was blown away by both to say the least! I'm thrilled to have these additions to my collection and I can't thank my good friend Shawn enough for hooking me up (and no he's not my "good Friend" because of this lol, we're already friends.)

Very nice Matt, that was nice of Peeve to do for you. I had the pleasure of meeting a few creators this past weekend at the Big Apple Comic Con which included Erik Larsen and Mark Bagley. You gotta love this stuff! ;D

Those are awesome sketches. And it was nice of Peev to do that.
Man, it'd be great to get some sketches from artists like that.

Thanks for the nice words guys, but I have to tell you that Matt deserves more credit on this than I do. See, both of these sketches would have cost $20.00 at the show, but once these guys knew who I was getting them for, they gave them to me for FREE! It shows once again the impact that LoG is making among members of the industry.

Anyone else have cool original art they've gotten from cons recently? I'd love to see pics.

I picked these up at Wizard World Chicago 2005. Both were done by Buzz Hanson, these are 8 X 10 size. I also have a larger Batman I think 12 X15 but I'm not 100% on that size. I'll add those later. My son picked this one up

!!! check out that Firefly! What a lucky boy. Tell him I'm jealous. Did Chris charge for that one? Nope, he was in the DC booth, Connor just walked up and he did for him in like two mintues. We're going to re-paint his bedroom this summer and buy some frames to hang up this drawings.

Wow that is an awesome Firefly sketch along with Joker and Doctor Octopus! Matt I also like those sketches of Batman and Green Arrow . Tell you the truth if I ever did get to go to a ComicCon I doubt I could meet Chris seeing I have no idea what he looks like. I would like to meet Chris and any Batman comic book artist someday though, just tell me where it is and I'll be there .

Chris has put this images up on his official site..he's the one gettin' socked! Chris is a VERY nice guy and a long time member of LoG..if he were going to be at a con you were attending, I'm certain he could tell you in advance where he was going to be sitting etc, so you'd have no trouble finding him!
