MTV doesnt show rock music anymore, just rap and t.v. shows. i have seen it on t.v. 2 times already and they were showing it on fuse. they edited the crap out of that video. MTV plays only rap, and VH1 plays only pop. We really need a new channel that plays rock videos and concerts. Have all the greats of today(Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Fallout Bot, etc.) and a station for the classic rock like Led Zepplin and Guns and Roses. I wouldn't have this station fall prey to reality shows and unnecesary crap. Rock music all freaking day!

They also can't do anything a little bit. While I was at having a rock channel, I would also do one on superheroes. Try to make new superhero shows that can be either live action or animated, while playing old, established ones as well. I would love to put that on.

I got the Bullet in a Bible CD today for Christmas. I haven't gotten to listen yet because I have spent all day watching B:TAS volume 1 (another gift). I am looking forward to it though. Any news on the movie?

In my stocking, I got the International Superhits CD. It is really cool because it has the pre-Dookie songs that I missed. Plus, it has 21 songs! It's worth picking up.

You know what I find wierd? Green Day songs are getting on kids cds like Kids Bop. Did they intend for this to happen? Or do these kids know who Green Day really are?

I am an "older" fan of the band; it all started for me 11 years ago with "Dookie" - I immediately picked up the Ramones / Clash / Pistols influence, which are some pretty damn good influences to have if you want to be a rock 'n roll band. Love the drummer, love the vocals, the visuals, the whole package. This newest album is definitely their best so far (top to bottom), though I love the older stuff, especially "Dookie." I respect the fact that they are inspired by the older generation of rock bands (the three previously mentioned, but especially the Who) and have taken what those bands have done even farther. They're absolutely great, one of my favorites.

The first time I heard Green Day was on the Seinfeld finale, they played Good Riddance over it. I didn't really get into Green Day until they did Warning. I know realize that this was their weekest album, but it has a special place in my heart because it got me into Green Day.
My top five Green Day songs would go 1) Longview 2) Jesus of Suburbia 3) Brain Stew 4) Misery 5) Are We the Waiting
Favorite Album is a really tough choice. Does Bullet in a Bible count? I like that one the best because it has a lot of my top five.

1. I have long story for this one. I got into Green Day by accident really. I first heard Green Day when they had Brain Stew on the Godzilla soundtrack. I was still young, so I didn't really care. Then I start to get into rock music, finally getting out of pop music phase, and came across great bands like Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Linkin Park, Trapt, etc. And then came American Idiot. When Batman Begins was coming around, I heard that Boulevard of Broken Dreams was going to be on the BB Soundtrack. That never happened, but when they came out with Holiday, I finally got American Idiot. I listened to it all and loved the story behind the Jesus of Suburbia. I had only few favorites of the oldies like Brain Stew, When I Come Around, etc. Then came Bullet in a Bible, which gave me more favorites like Hitchin' A Ride, King for a Day, and Minority. Now with American Idiot: The Movie coming out, I am psyched. And I don't know how they can possibly top this, but hell, they toped Dookie and Nimrod, so what will be next for hardest working band in punk rock?
2. MY TOP 5 FAVORITE GREEN DAY SONGS 1. Jesus of Suburbia(this has to be on everyone's list) 2. Longview 3. Are we the Waiting/St. Jimmy 4. Homecoming 5. Brain Stew
My favorite album is Bullet in a Bible too. I liked how they interacted with the crowd. I also like it when they did Shout after King for a Day.

You know, the first time I heard Brain Stew was after this Christmas. The first time I heard it was when I listened to Bullet in a Bible. I thought it was so weird that the people knew the words, when I hadn't even heard of it. And know it's in my top five. Weird, huh?

Now I've seen everything. "Really? Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?" >:(Uh, no. "Then you haven't seen everything." Oh, I can't believe I forgot this, Minority is my all time favorite of the pre-American Idiot Green Day.

I will do a roll call of the CD's I have of Green Day. Dookie, Nimrod, American Idiot, Warning, Bullet in a Bible, and International Superhits. Up until Christmas, I only had the first four. Therefore, I had not heard Brain Stew until just recently. I didn't see Godzilla. I was a fan of the Japanese ones, but the American one didn't appeal to me as much. I can't believe that so many people haven't heard Misery. It has such a cool vibe.
