I am sure it has been asked before, but I was wondering, seeing as you are a huge fan of Alfred, with your avatars and such I was wondering who or which is your favorite take on Alfred Pennyworth? Or if I can ask a two part question...
1. Who was/is your favorite real life Alfred actor?
2. Which is your favorite animated version of Alfred?
Thank You

I'm so sorry Techno,i don't know how i missed this Thread.Anyways,here goes:
1:Although Napier and Gough both brought a lot of dignity to the Alfred character and i was more than happy with both their portrayals my favourite is definitely Michael Caine. I was thrilled to bits when i heard Mr Caine got the job, being a long-time fan of his work i knew he would bring something special to the part.He didn't disappoint, not only could he pull off the Gentleman's Gentleman admirably but he showed that Alfred was Bruce's equal, mentor,Father figure and conscience as he should be and definitely wasn't afraid to speak his mind. I never held with subservient portrayals,it didn't suit the Alfred character in my book.Which leads me to:
2:For many of the same reasons as above the Alfred in The Batman is also my favourite. He also is portrayed as an equal and a free-thinking man rather than a servant and i appreciate that greatly.Big raps to all the creative team on The Batman for that! Alfred is finally getting the respect and treatment i believe he deserves and i couldn't be happier.

Thank you for answering my question Andy, great to hear your insight & thoughts on Batman's greatest ally in his fight on crime. And I agree Michael Caine is the best portrayal of Alfred on screen to date...
A hero for you
