Seems that Eric Bana, who played Bruce Banner in The Hulk has pulled out of the sequel because the plan is to make The Hulk 2 a straight to DVD movie. But David Duchovny is the front runner to step in and take up the role of Bruce Banner.
This is going to rule if it happens, X-Files is my all time favorite show and I think that Duchovny will make a great Bruce Banner

That is funny. They won't even give this sequel a theatre feature. It is sad that Duchovny has sank this low. I never did watch the first one until it came on TV. When that happened, I could only stand to watch a few minutes.

[shadow=purple,left,300]This is false. All of this was denied about a month ago. Duchovny's not the Hulk, and there is no plans for a sequel any time soon.[/shadow]

I loved the Hulk movie. Hulk was good because it had a good story, mindless action would have made it bad. I hope it gets a good sequel, in theatres, not straight to video. That would be bad. It would make me angry, and they wouldnt like me when I'm angry. rrrrrrrroar!

Im sure its gonna be a big hit like Tarzan 2... if done correctly it may be a big hit.they should have banner coming back from the Jungle to fight someone like Abomination who was created in the same accident as Banner maybe-but I do think they backed themselves into a corner here

I dont believe Bana will return myself [shadow=purple,left,300]He's truly a rising star and a decent actor, so I wouldn't be upset if he came back (though I doubt he'll return, too). I really think they should avoid this sequel. The only thing it can do is hurt the character, like the upcoming Fantastic Four sequel will (though the original killed them pretty bad).[/shadow]

^ He was/is funny in King of Queens. Did you see the one where Adam West guest starred and Oswald Patton's character asks Lou to go to a comic book convention with him, but them when he meets Adam West he asks him and has to dump Lou? It was funny stuff...

I have the "Best of" collection, the original pilot and the TV movie where he dies all on DVD

I might be in the minority but I would be very happy for a sequel! I liked the first and would enjoy a full on HULK movie without all the subtext and artsy internalization Etc. Just more straight forward and action oriented. The prospect of it being DTV seems unlikely due to the nec FX budget, and a new theatre release would seem "doubtful" though? As for the Xfiles dude taking the role, I wouldnt have any problem with it. I still dont understand how everybodies opinion of this movie so drastically changed seemingly overnight? at the time, fans were basically split good and bad but mainly positive, and the critics etc just gushed over it calling it near brilliant! but since then, everyone has been putting it down more and more? Oh well, I liked it.

^ I am right there with you Batlaw, because I actually enjoyed and thought The Hulk was a well done, deep movie. It had the right story, enough action and special effects for me, and I would love to see a sequel with a big time villian going up against The Hulk, and it would be cool to see The Gray Hulk.
