This wasn't picked up?! This is the trailer to what the show would've been. This is the pilot and this alone shows how cool it would've been. Also, notice the Batman Begins music. youtube.com/watch?v=pv7YlUiI1-w

[shadow=purple,left,300]While it looks better than I thought it would be (and I had very low expectations), I still wouldn't watch it. Not a fan of this "youthful reimagining" of DC characters. But that's just me.[/shadow]

I would have given it a chance, it would have depended on how fast the plot advanced.

Like Jman, I also had/have low expectations but it also did appear potentially much better than I anticipated. The initial pilot *could be cool/fun but I still wouldnt have any faith or much interest in a continuing series. I personally think this trailor was surprizingly well done but they likely shot their whole wad with it? The majority of truly great oportunities could surly be captured within 1-2hrs total. The entire teen drama thing is brain numbing and pathetic impo. I wouldve given it a fair chance as a fanboy of course. But i'm not heartbroken (nor shocked) in the least about it getting tossed. Besides, before we know it I'm sure coppies will be floating around?

That's why I don't care for TB or BB or any future BB sequels

Prof, are you talking Batman Beyond or Batman Begins? Personally I have no problem with "Reimaginings" youthful or otherwise. They can be hit and miss of course of for the most part such interpretations, fresh takes, and re-imaginings are necessary for the properties longevity. My only gripe and anguish is with the (flavor of the month) "teen drama" spin. I flat out despise the mainstream copy of a copy of crap approach.

I saw this not long after it was announced & was greatly suprised. I was extremely sceptical of the idea but it looks great. The CW is making some extremely stupid choices in regards to it's primetime lineup. I mean noone likes 7th Heaven anyway, STOP THE BLOODY RERUNS!

I'm not a fan of little kid versions of superheroes, and on that basis do not endorse the idea of teen soaps using super heroes.

Hey, I'm glad they never pushed 'Bruce Wayne' the proposed teen soap drama past the conception stages. Look at how Smallville dropped the ball after 2 great seasons. I'm not a hardcore Superman fan by any means but entirely too much weirdness has been going on in that small town. It was interesting having Clark & Lex as friends at first, but by now Lex has figured out what Clark is - LL never knew Superman's secret identity and Lois meets Clark in Kansas which is like...forget it. Oh and Jor-El is a Superdick on the show. Can you imagine what they would have done to Bats?
I understand they have problems keeping a premise like this fresh, which is why I thought they'd stop it when the Superman movie arrived.

You can also catch it on www.in2tv.com. Just make sure you use IE. If it had become a regular series, I definatley would have watched it. I also believe something like this would have helped bring Aquaman out of obscurity and stopped him from being seen as such a joke. Ving Rames kinda cant act but its ok, hes so cool it more than balances out. DrGreenEvil
