well lets see Ghost rider. -how was it? i'm not seeing it til monday ( i have off all week from school) and the reviews were pretty mixed so i trust you guy's opinions. I reallly want to see it for the NEW SPIDERMAN 3 TRAILER ( but i don't know if the trailer came with it a little help...
p.s. I always loved ghost rider and not to switch sides but i think i like marvel a lot more than DC, i like moon knight, punisher, x-men and spiderman so i hope this one was good.

I actually saw GR Friday night. They did show the S3 trailer but it wasnt anything new at all? They also showed the FF2 trailer which I thought looked pretty cool.
As for Ghost Rider... well I have to admit it wasnt a great movie. In fact, by any standard it would probably be considered "bad" overall. However; it is a comic book movie so you have to cut it some slack, but it's really not a great comic book movie either by comparison. I put it at the bottom of what has come thus far. Not to say there wasnt anything to enjoy or like, but overall it was plenty lacking. Every Marvel movie has seemed to get increasingly worse than the last, and sadly GR follows that trend. Some entertaining stuff, some good CGI, a couple laughs mixed with plenty of negatives. If you liked Punisher, Fantastic Four, X-Men3, than you will enjoy this well enough.

Batlaw...I'm planning on taking my son to this (8yr) next week, is the content typical comic book action/violence? well i do know, it has some pretty graphics demons and stuff and the director did say that it does get intense but probably just as scary for kids as the scarecow in begins(my cousin was soo scared of cillian murphy) I actually saw GR Friday night. They did show the S3 trailer but it wasnt anything new at all? They also showed the FF2 trailer which I thought looked pretty cool. thx alot batlaw i'm still going to see it but i want to know was the spiderman trailer new or the same one from a couple weeks ago? and the F4 trailer was it new too or was it the one with the wedding and the silver surfer???

The FF trailer isnt new but it was the first time I saw it myself. The Spidey on is nothing that hasnt been seen. I wouldnt recomend ghost rider for an 8yo. Has some nasty horor elements / moments and some icky deaths.

Batlaw...I'm planning on taking my son to this (8yr) next week, is the content typical comic book action/violence? [shadow=green,left,300] I saw it and man I thought it rocked! I have to say that it probably is a bit too much for an eight year old for the suspense but whatever you think. I mean the movie was okay if your into crazy stuff like I am, but as for it being comic book movie it wasn't too impressive, i would go with Batlaw on this one. [/shadow]

Saw it Friday with my brother and we both agreed that it was pretty bad.
Bad Points in the film: Weak Storyline Horrible acting, especially on Eva's part And the CGI stuff really wrecked the film for me. It really hindered Ghost Rider's movements, and when he was Ghost Rider his voice changed and it was hard understanding him at certain points in the movie.
And for some reason the ending of Ghost Rider, reminded me of Ang Lee's Hulk...
Probably worth a look if your a GR fan, but I know I won't be seeing it again.... 1/2 Star out of 5

i don't think ya'll (i'm already sounding like Johnny Blaze) really read ghost rider and loved it like i did i mean, i thought that guy is sooo cool that the ghost rider could have took a dump on the screen for most of the movie and i think i still would have enjoyed it.(which says what about me? ?). This was far better than i expected though, its not a batman begins but it was entertaining and edgy and most of all (what movies today seem to lose track on) FUN. soo i was a little dissapointed with the spidey 3 trailer not being there and i was kinda P-Oed that Blackheart never turned into his full beast/demon form but it stayed simple and i really dug it. thumbz up for this one. I mean i can't stress it enough, these comic book movies don't have to be perfect because you're opinion of a perfect ghost rider movie is far different than mine, and if they made it into a perfect movie (well, perfect to you) that means only you and some other people wil like it and thats not fair to the public. So we have to just deal. ( im done preaching, i must have said this to over a million comic book fans. but you guys are cool enough to understand me right?....I need some water).

I thought it was pretty good, but I had a couple problems with it: 1. Nicolas Cage was not right for this role. I don't know how old they were supposed to be, but he was too old for it. Plus, he didn't really suck me into thinking he was Johnny Blaze. 2. Why did Roxanne have an 8 ball with her at the restraunt?

Plus, he didn't really suck me into thinking he was Johnny Blaze. 2. Why did Roxanne have an 8 ball with her at the restraunt? ya know man, why am i defending this movie. 1- Nicholas Cage is the biggest, most diehard fan of ghost rider and he's been involved in this movie dating back eight years ago. and in THE comics he was a redneck chain smoking alcoholic(real bad@$$) but in the original script that remained intact until Nic had a great idea... That he was not an alcoholic or chain smoker A because the character is used to frequently B beause it defines the character before he becomes the Ghost rider which needless to say if you read the comics, they dont really explor jonny blaze's personality until he becomes ghost rider. 2 I don't know, it was kinda stupid... i think i defend this movie because i love nic cage i love the director and i loved Daredevil the directors edition and i just think that the studio probably had something to do with the flick that you should blame on them not the director.(a black kingpin???)

2. Why did Roxanne have an 8 ball with her at the restraunt? My partner carries a magic 8 ball with her...maybe it's a west coast thing. I took my son, we both enjoyed it...some + some - but overall it was enjoyable.

Ghost Rider is definatley one of the best Marvel films yet. Although it was an amazing film, it just needed more of it's title character. John Blaze just wasn't Ghost Rider long enough. Overall I'd give it an 8.95 out of 10
