I think Matt ought to find this interesting... Here's the lil tid bit from Wizard. "Super Max" is Goyer's take on supervillain incarceration in the DCU. Revolving around a wrongly convicted Green Arrow being whisked away to the super max prison for out-of-control heroes and villains (where he's forced to face a number of inmates he put there), Goyer says the flick—which he's developing with writer Justin Marx—isn't just a Green Arrow film. And here's the link... www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/wizard/004194396.cfm

[glow=red,2,300]Goyer knows what he's doing , at least it doesn't sound like a conventional super-hero film[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Would be very cool, (possibly) shows a diffretn kind of superhero movie, instead of the step by step marvel film making guide 1)introduction 2)gets turned into a superhero 3)finds enemy 4)enemy does something to character connected to hero 5)showdown
lol ;D[/glow]

you think your funny. and he hopefully doesnt follow the dc guidebook on how to make movies - ( superman returns, all batman movies besides begins) 1- get a fairly famous comic book character. 2- cast really bad actors to play in your movie (devito, schwarzenegger) 3-write a really really boring script with almost no confrontation)(superman returns) 4- open to the public 5- make an even worse sequel ( batman and robin)

[glow=red,2,300] funny really how the 70's superman film grossed more money than x-men 1 2 3 put together, especially when you are only really talking about 2 bad films(with sr still being given 4 out of 5 stars) compared to Marvel's lot with only spider-man and the first two x-men being any good, at least when Dc do make some the majority of them are big hits , compared to electra, hulk, daredevil,x-men 3 and so on,
batman and robin still making more than the hulk, lol but lets never mention that film again, lol ;D[/glow]

I'm definately intrigued. The challenge is making this nerdy enough to appeal to me as a comic fan but not so mainstream that no one has a costume
Thanks for posting this!

Well this is really interesting. I've never thought of combining prison movie with superhero. I think Matt is right, it would have to have a good balance between the two.
Jack-Ups & Master of Fear, please keep things civil. We don't need another DC vs. Marvel argument.

I like the idea of it, although the name definately needs to go. Super Max just sounds really stupid! & they need to go with the classic version of the character, with the goatee & awsome suite thingy instead of the smallville incarnation with the freekish green hood thing

I would like to see some more screen time of the Green Costume. Regarding Marvel's movie lot... I think they're over doing it. The one I thought was ridiculous was Ant-Man. I don't know who'd want to see that...
I think what DC is doing is great. Just worry about the icons of DC. Instead of splurging out movies lets just take the time to get one movie right. Quality over Quanity for me.
As for David Goyer's take on Greens I dont know... I'm sort of hesitant on it. After Blade: Trinity I was kinda "eh..." about Goyer's work.
Although I really wished to see his script of the Flash movie that got rejected. WB said it was too dark and wanted to go for a more light hearted movie. I just hope its not TOO light that it loses the seriousness of the movie.

Afterall we still have the same Brothers Warner that greenlighted & financed B&R.
