You're being serious? are your serious? how is he not? he has great repoire with everyone he talks to, he's able to generate great heat, he has his own unique style of promo. he doesnt stutter and he's not uncomfortable or talking weird. where's the bad? i have to know how you can say that Orton's not good on the mic. please elaborate. Unique as in robotic

^ what does that even mean, robotic? please elaborate, as you are the only person that i've ever spoken to anywhere that feels that Orton isnt great on the mic. so maybe your tv is broken or something and you're not getting good sound quality. please explain.

at the IGF show that just finished Rob Van Dam beat Kendo KaShin and Necro Butcher in a 3-way. at the same show Bobby Lashley beat The Predator (Sylvester Terkay from WWE). and in the main event Josh Barnett squashed Tank Abbott in 3 minutes. RVD match was supposedly great, so i might have to get this show when it gets to dvd.

^ you're definitely thinking of someone else. i've never heard Orton stutter or stammer like you depicted in that sentence. and before we continue this, i have to know, who do you think is great on the mic in that company? you think Orton is bad on the mic when he's not, so i have to know who you think is good on the mic.

WWE has released Stevie Richards, Colin Delaney, The Highlanders, Cherry, and referee Wes Adams. 2 bad about Steven Richards, I thought for awhile there they were going to give him a good program with what's his name, can't think of his name right now, Vladkof or something like that, darn it why can't I think of his name.
Now I am not to broken up to see the others leave.
Although with the departure of Cherry, it certainly weakens the already weak Diva's division on Smackdown. Now are Deuce Domino and Cherry all gone now? Or just the two of them? Because it certainly doesn't bode well for the last remaining one if he is still around

Thanks for posting. The Main Event looks awesome. I am pulling for Alan Stone, I think the guy is a solid worker, and looks to be better and better every time out. What are your thoughts about him? i've liked Alan Stone for awhile. when he and Zumbido were a tag team, they were one of the best teams in the world. i already know what happens and i wont ruin it for you, but look who's in the match, think about what's been happening in the promotion, and knowing that the winner gets a title shot and you can basically figure out the winner. i'm excited to see it though. Morgan family match should be good as well. i always liked Pirata Morgan and his great work ethic and its rubbed off on his kids. they always put on an entertaining match. Ahhhhh LoL... It makes sense and I think I know who you are talking about , especially after the main event last week

Same here I hope Richards finds success in TNA or elsewhere. He has always been a hard worker.

Just wanted to chime in on the Randy Orton thing. Now Orton is not my favorite wrestler, personally I don't really like the guy, but I have to give him his props and say he is great on the mic, probably in the top 5 in the WWE (active) behind guys like:
Triple H, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, & John Cena. Oh and MvP, and Mr. Kennedy are really great guys as well on the mic
Which has me thinking, who are some of the worst guys or gals on the mic in the business today or in the past, in your opinions?
I think right now Batista is pretty bad, once he starts with that fake laughing it drives me insane and has me wanting to change the channel.

Batista's been getting better because they've been having him talk more, so he's not one of the worst. not including guys who just yell and stuff like Khali and Umaga, or guys who rarely speak like Undertaker and Abyss, Rey Mysterio is the worst on the mic in WWE followed closely by Jeff Hardy. they just have trouble speaking in front of the crowd and they dont have that natural charisma when they cut promos. C.M. Punk also is not great on the mic and WWE has been making him practice, but he still needs alot of work. you can tell he's doesnt have it on the mic from the stuff with JBL (who is great on the mic, and i really love his character, he's such a great heel and he plays it so well). those 3 really stand out as bad. there are alot of indy guys and mid carders who are bad on the mic. Shelton Benjamin isnt good mic either. most top guys are great on the mic in WWE and TNA. its mandatory if you're going to be a top superstar. A.J. Styles has been getting better too, he's not as bad as when he first started talking. on another note, finally Colt Cabana wrestles on tv. now he can talk, and he's hysterical too. i was happy to see him finally come up. back on topic (sorry his match was just on and i didnt want to forget), you said all-time, Lex Luger was pretty bad on the mic and he got worse as he got older. Bobby Lashley was pretty bad too. Goldberg was horrible on the mic. there were plenty others, but i cant really think of them. the greatest mic workers of all-time stick out more than the worst. i mean, look at The Rock. arguably the greatest talker in the history of wrestling, i'm sure everyone has multiple skits and promos that he did, that they can still remember and laugh about today. same with Flair. typing this has me thinking about all that stuff The Rock did with Gregory Helms when he was The Hurricane and he kept calling him hamburglar. lol. that was classic. great topic Techno.

I have noticed he is getting a bit better, I think what drives me crazy with him, and all wrestlers that do it, is that fake ha ha laugh they all do, especially when they didn't say anything that requires chuckling.
Sometimes I wonder why they even allow these guys to talk. Just when you think they are going to get a bit better, it just doesn't happen.
I totally agree, JBL is great. I loved his rivarly with Eddie. That was some good stuff. I like CM Punk as Champion but part of me wants him to lose, and have JBL become the new Champion. Another Great champion that comes to mind that was flat out horrible on the mic......... Bret Hart
And somebody that I enjoyed to watch because you never knew were he was going with his promos, was The Ultimate Warrior

Another Great champion that comes to mind that was flat out horrible on the mic......... Bret Hart
he was horrible on the mic when he was in WWF. his WCW stuff when he was with the NWO wasnt too bad. i just think he needed to be unscripted. i he had all those concussions, his memory was probaly shot and he couldnt remember alot of what he was supposed to be saying in WWF. but in WCW, there was no set script of what he had to say, so it was more natural. i definitely agree with you about Warrior's promos, Techno. and i agree with Professor Crane about Jake Roberts being great on the mic too. Warrior, Roberts, and Scott Steiner are 3 of the most unpredictable talkers in wrestling. Steiner would just shoot his mouth off about anybody, Warrior was just nuts, and with Roberts, you never knew if he was going to be drunk or high and you didnt know what you'd get from his promo, and then whatever condition he was in, he still made it work. he was something. i even liked Roberts mic work when he was in that stupid preacher gimmick.

What preacher gimmick? I don't remember that in the mid nineties, he had this preacher gimmick where he would spout stuff from the bible. it's when Austin was first becoming "Stone Cold", he feuded with Roberts. it's where that Austin 3:16 slogan came from. Roberts would come out and tell Austin, John 3:16 reads... and then after Austin had beaten him up he said well Austin 3:16 says i just whooped your... it was a brief thing and it ended after he started drinking again and got fired.

i think All-Star is away so here's the results from WWE Summerslam:
- MVP beat Jeff Hardy - Beth Phoenix & Santino Marella beat Mickie James and Kofi Kingston. Intercontinental and Women's titles were on the line. Beth Phoenix won the Women's Title and Santino Marella won the Intercontinental Title. - Shawn Michaels came out with his wife and said he was retiring. Chris Jericho came out and after they talked and HBK went to walk away, Jericho pulled him back and swung at him. HBK ducked and the punch hit his wife. - Matt Hardy beat Mark Henry by DQ after Tony Atlas interfered. Henry retains the title. - C.M. Punk beat JBL to retain the WWE Raw Title - Triple H beat The Great Khali to retain the WWE Smackdown Title - Batista beat John Cena - The Undertaker beat Edge in Hell in a Cell. after the match Undertaker chokeslammed Edge off a ladder and Edge crashed through the ring and then fire shot up from the hole in the ring where Edge went through.

I think he must be away because he is usually right on top of the results, I actually held off last night.
I got the PPV last night and thought overall it was a very solid show.
All of the matches were great to watch, and very entertaining, there were no surprises, which is always fun to have at a big PPV.
Matt Hardy vs Mark Henry didn't really make any sense to me, the match was over within 30 seconds due to the outside interference from Tony Atlas. Matt Hardy nailed Henry with the twist of fate and almost got the three count but Atlas pulled Hardy out of the ring and started beating him up, then Jeff Hardy ran out, and helped his brother take out Atlas, then The Hardy Boyz Double Suplexed Mark Henry on the floor. I smell a tag team match for eCw.....
Cena vs Batista was an awesome match, alot of power moves and kickouts, I really enjoyed the match and was happy to see Batista win. Batista actually used some of Flair's moves in the match with the chop block and lifting Cena up and hitting his knee, and then Batista followed it up with The Figure Four
The best part of the HHH vs Great Khali match was the fans who kept chanting at Khali "You Can't Wrestle" LoL..
After watching the Hell in the Cell last night, I got to say I have some mad respect for Edge, this guy is definitely one of the best in the WWE right now and should be on top for many years to come.
I think it would have been funny if Santino took the woman's title over the IC strap LoL

Maybe someone got hurt? Or maybe they just wanted to give one of the other matches more time? JLavaia, Can you explain that booking...?

That's what I was thinking as well, perhaps Mark Henry got injured, or they don't want him to lose the title so quickly, maybe they want him to hold onto it for a bit longer as a reward for service to the company before they eventually give it to Matt Hardy. Seems like it would be a waste to bring in a new title and Tony Atlas for Mark Henry and have him lose the strap.

Maybe someone got hurt? Or maybe they just wanted to give one of the other matches more time? JLavaia, Can you explain that booking...? i havent heard that either one of them is hurt. they did announce that the main event for ECW on Tuesday a rematch of Henry/Hardy for the title. perhaps it will have some kind of stip, but that hasnt been announced yet. they did have some big matches and they wanted to give ample time to those and i think that they overbooked the card so they decided to have Henry go for a splash, have Hardy move and hit a quick Twist of Fate to put over Hardy but not have Henry lose the title. they also wanted to showcase that Atlas isnt just a manager and that he still has some strength and they brought Jeff back out to help his brother. i really do think they just overbooked and it is one of the big 4 ppvs and they wanted all of their top guys on the show in some way. its like at Wrestlemania when Kane won the title in like 4 seconds from Chavo. the ECW Title is such a joke, and it's really seeming like the Intercontinental and US Titles are bigger titles than the ECW title. you would think having Matt Hardy in the title match would bring the title some kind of prestige, but then the match goes less than 30 seconds and it reminds you that being on the ECW brand is almost like a punishment. hopefully we'll get a real match on Tuesday, but i doubt it and i'm sure we'll see some sort of indecisive finish so they can milk this feud for as long as possible. thats the other thing, there are no real challengers for the ECW title. Matt is the only top face on the brand, and with a heel champ, it doesnt leave many options. they did the Henry/Dreamer thing to death and Dreamer really isnt a credible challenger at this point in his career. they want Hardy vs. Henry to go on as long as it can. i can even see it continuing after Hardy gets the title and we see 97 rematches. i dont even know why they have a title when there are only 4, maybe 5, guys that in that title's division. WWE has way to many titles and not enough challengers.

That HIAC match at Summerslam was the greatest HIAC match out of every HIAC match in WWE history. I promise not to say HIAC again......oh....DAMMIT! ;D I have to disagree. The first two were the best. IMO, you can't have a good HIAC match where they don't use the actual cage! Climbing the top of the cage and falling off, or climbing the sides is what makes a HIAC match, a la Edge's sphere that knocked the side of the cage over. That's just me. It was a very good HIAC, just not the best
