In answer to many suggestions that I make my previous "Best Batman" topic into two (one for voice actors, one for live action), here is one of them. This one is for live action Bats. So who is it? Who is your favorite Batman Actor (live action)?

My choice would have to be between Val Kilmer and Christian Bale. But I voted for Val Kilmer because there is something about him that I really like! He makes a great Batman!

Don't get me wrong I love what Christian Bale has done with Batman, and Michael Keaton did a pretty great job as well but for me, my vote goes to Adam West.
Adam portrayed Batman/Bruce Wayne the way he was back in the day, and did an amazing job. He had the Bruce Wayne look down and I think that he nailed Batman as well, especially for the suit that was used

I have no real opinion on the B&W Batmen, but for Adam, for the time he was a good Batman. Now let me talk about the movie Batmen:
Keaton: While he was the brooding character we all love, Keaton could not be Bruce Wayne for me. I mean come on, they had to have Kim Basinger walk barefoot so he could look taller.
Kilmer: He was a good Batman and a good Bruce Wayne. Only thing that ruined him was Joel Schumacher's designs of bat-nipples, bulging codpieces, butt shots, and a glow in the dark Batmobile.
Clooney: Oh god, please do not get me started with this one. Just watch the movie to see what's wrong with him, and if you don't go blind from seeing his butt, post what was wrong.
Bale: HE IS BATMAN!

I cant vote for some reason, but then I never have been able to vote all the way back to when I joined the board.
I would have to vote Michael Keaton though. Guess part because I grew up with that Batman. But to me he did really well. The runner up would be Christian Bale. He is really good, might be a little to good.

[glow=red,2,300] lol Its not a problem I knew it was a mistake hehe
The thing I like about Bale is that 1 he's a Good British actor ,and one he is like a type of old school actor that will go to great heights to perform, with all his weight loss and gain.
Also I get a kick out of seeing Bale mention bat books like long Halloween ,but I get a little annoyed when people go this is a grittier version of batman than we've seen before, ugh hello the Burton film's they were way way worse lol, begins was just realistic. [/glow]

My choice would have to be between Val Kilmer and Christian Bale. [shadow=red,left,300]I hear ya'! Kilmer rocked as the Dark Knight, and played a very convincing Bruce Wayne. Did you know he was Bob Kane's favourite of the previous franchise? Bale is my fav' though! He really managed to show the contrast between bored, Billionaire playboy and dark, intimating, crime fighter. Although I feel, given the right script, Kilmer would've trumped even Bale. I don't think Keaton had a proper understanding of the character. He said the key behind his Batman was Bruce Wayne where-as it should be the other way around. Although I’ve enjoyed all of these actor’s portrayals... only one man can trump them all… George Clooney!!!! *Runs far away* ;D -The Shadow[/shadow]

Here's my thoughts (elaborating):
Val Kilmer: As I said above, tied to be my fav', No I did not know this was Bob Kane's fav' from that Batman "saga"! Thanks for the info Shadow! All Star, it's not his fault about the suit and stuff, it's Joels!!LOL
Christian Bale: Tied for favorite with Val Kilmer!
Michael Keaton: Didn't really work for me!
George Clooney: Terrible! All Star, I went blind ever since the first time I saw him as bats!!LOL
Adam West: A great Batman!!
Lewis Wilson and Robert Lowery: Pretty good Batmans!

my views on the other Batmen:
Michael Keaton: When he was first picked to play Batman/Bruce Wayne I went nuts, all I thought of was Beetlejuice & Mr. Mom, but I saw Clean & Sober and thought, he might be able to pull this off. And for the most part he did. Looks wise he really isn't Bruce Wayne, the clean cut, good looking playboy billionare, but he had most of Bruce Wayne's mannerism's, the scene were he and Vicki Vale are talking in her apt, and he is explaining how you have a life, blah blah blah, that was really well done. As for Batman he looked the part behind the cape and cowl. So for me Keaton was a really good Batman, now as for the overall movie that is for a different discussion, because the more and more I see it, I have tons of problems with it.
Val Kilmer: I pretty much have the same views and positive opinions that everybody else has on Val, I thought he played both roles really well. He looked the part of Bruce Wayne and really nailed Batman
George Clooney: Not a bad Bruce Wayne, but everything else was just wrong!!!
Adam West: I am a mark for him, even though I wasn't even born when this series was around, I have seen all of the reruns and the movie and feel as though he is Batman because he played him the most, or has logged in the most time playing Bats. Makes you wonder if a real serious version of a Batman film was done back in the day, or even a tv series how great it would have been.
Christian Bale: Has been handed the mantle of the Bat and is doing a great job with it

I enjoyed Micheal Keaton tremendously as Batman, but his Bruce Wayne was terrible. He had those Leonard Nemoy eyebrows & he looked like a crazy eyed psychopath in one scene, & emo poet the next.
Kilmer was a great Bruce Wayne, but he didn't really get Batman completely right.
Clooney resembles a giant chin. I guess that's all Schumacher wanted in a Batman. A talking chin with no acting abilities whatsoever.
Adam West is awesome. Although I hate campy versions of Batman I can look back at the movie or the show with a slight amount of nostolgia.
CHRISTIAN BALE IS BATMAN, BRUCE WAYNE, VENGEANCE, THE NIGHT, ETC. ETC. ETC. The only thing left for him to do is say......
"Criminals are a superstitious & cowerdly lot, so my disguise must strike terror into their hearts. I must be black, terrible, a creature of the night. I... am... Batman"
& he already said the last part. It was awesome.

I'm just rambling now.
