It's hard to believe just how many big summer movies are hitting - I reviewed the release date list, and every weekend from this last weekend until the end of July has a major flick hitting. And most of the toys are already here, from Indy to Hulk and even Wall-E! Today I'm checking out a couple of the regular release Dark Knight figures. I suspect these will be the only two regular release figures I check out. Yea, they aren't anything to get too excited about. If you're a serious completist, you might want to check it them out, but otherwise I'd stick with the Movie Masterpiece line. You can find all the reviews at the usual: www.mwctoys.comThanks for reading - and if you haven't seen Iron Man yet, do it now! It rocks...seriously. Okay, he's not Batman, but he's still pretty damn cool. Michael MWC

will you be reviewing the new Action Cape Batman or the Ultimate Batman due out later this month? for all the shortcomings the Batman Begins and The Dark Knight lines have, I think the 14-inch figures are the highlights. that and the new Movie Masters figures. finally, 6-inch Batman movie figures!
it's disappointing to see Mattel dip to Hasbro-type lows to save money. the TDK line's Batman's cape now has a slit in the back of it for no reason and it puzzles me why they'd release a green-suited Joker first and not a purple-suited one. you'd think they'd have learned from their mistakes, but at least we have the Movie Masters figures to ease our disappointment.

people have criticised the Action Cape figure for having the cape built into a paracute thing, so you can't remove the mechanism like you could for the Begins Action Cape figure, but it's like that in the movie where he jumps from the tall building in HK. we see him standing at the edge and jumping off, then his cape pops out. so although a little annoying, it is movie-accurate.
