I have been hemming and hawing about getting the awesome Batwing set. I was out today checking for som DCSH Azrael's, but nada. My local Toys R Us had nothing recent in any action figure category. So, I decided to head to the Wal Mart in the same complex. I've never been to this store (Hamden, CT) since there are two closer to my house, They had just finished reorganizing the store. I wandered into the clearance aisle and they had 5 or 6 Batwing sets. Just for fun, I took it to the price scanner. I scanned it and I almost fainted in disbelief when I saw the price: $15.00! I had $17 in cash in my pocket and ran to the checkout squealing like a little kid until I got home and put it together. An awesome set!

Awesome find, Thunder! Funny, I still have trouble thinking of Batman Lego as just another Lego set like Knight's Kingdom or Bionicle. Your find does prove that these, like all other Lego sets, will be reduced to clear at some point or show up at closeout stores at seriously reduced prices. In Canada Winners (our version of TJ Max-same company I believe) generally has sets that are at the most a year old reduced by 50-60% and sometimes more. Last year there was a $100 Alpha Team base reduced to somewhere between $30-$40 CAD. around X-Mas. Be nice to find a $30. Batcave or even the Batwing for $30. CAD.

wow... that's amazing.. I might have to go to Wal-Mart tomorrow and see if the ones near me are on sale too. Were any of the other sets on sale? I know that the Batcave is only 60 bucks at Target the other week.

I should do the same myself! I would not mind getting something like that for a piece of memorabilia, especially if it has Catwoman.
