[shadow=red,left,300]This looks pretty sweet. If I really had money I'd buy it whenever it comes out.[/shadow]

[glow=blue,2,300]I would get it, except for the fact I stink at chess. Bring on the Batman Tic-Tac-Toe! [/glow]

It's been out for a couple of years. I ordered mine a few years back from Forbidden Planet in the UK. There's a JLA half set(only one side) of pieces two, with Superman as King, Wonder Woman queen, Flash pawns, Green Lantern bishop, and Hawkman rook.
Keychains were also made with all of the figures. JLA villain keychains were made, but left out of the add on set or another full set, for some reason.
There's a new animated JL one coming out soon, whihc I preoreder from Entertainment Earth I believe. The best one ever made was the Captain America 50th anniversary chess set, though I'm 1000x more a DC fan, mostly Batman. It's pewter, with the heroes being gold plated. The board is wood and the pieces are stored inside.

Yes, I got one of those(It's in my collection pics) a few years back along with a few of the Batman & JL PVC key chains...Of course it was all do to the great Toy Detective's detective skills... as I didn't enen know it was coming out, but he tracked down who was making it and were it was being sold. Since this came out a few years ago, I'm moving this to the Retro section.

[shadow=red,left,300] Or Batman monopoly! ;D[/shadow] Actually, there is a JLA Monopoly that came out a couple of years ago. There are 2 different box variations, the contents - playing pieces, money, game board, etc - are identical. The playing pieces are Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Arrow, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter. Here's a pic of the first edition box: www.boardgamegeek.com/game/6958Here's the second edition box (and the contents): www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=US170

There was a Batman and Robin Monopoly set for the movie a few years ago. It was a Warner Bros. Store exclusive.

That's pretty cool. As everyone has figured out, I really never paid much attention to merchandise, and I'm trying to catch up! And foget that "Batman & Robin" blah. JLA has to be much more fun. Although I don't know why JLA Monopoly has a running time.[/shadow]

Monopoly in general has a playing time. Whether you choose to use it or not is up to those playing the game. It's in the rules - you can play the long or the short game. Or, you can play like my family and play until all but 1 player is bankrupt. Sometimes that takes a day or two, depending on our schedules.

It's always fun to play for hours on end, so that's why I guess we never pay attention to time limits, etc. But I don't pay attention to the rules... let's just say my endless wealth in the game is a steal... Hey everyone, Yeah, I've seen that chess set numerous times on eBay for the past few years. A very nifty set. I happen to have miniature chess sets for BTAS from France....one of my favorite bat-collectibles...can't wait to display it in a curio after the move (month's end). Cheers, Frosty

Ah, if anyone wants to see a clear shot of the BTAS miniature chess set, go to: www.a-bd.com/produit-bd_mini-batman-chess-game_1544_fr.htm#I have two of these sets (different packaging variations but same contents) and will take pics when found. They rock! Anyone up for a game of chess? ;D Cheers, Frosty
