I am currently reading the watchmen graphic novel and I am shocked at how good it is. it makes you think of super heroes in ways you never have before. I havent even finished it yet and I think it ranks among some of the best batman books I've ever read. after getting into the book I watched the movie trailer and I think the movie looks amazing. it looks exactly like the book and it has a great visual style. also the smashing pumpkins song in the background is great. Ironicly, the song is a remix of another song that was used in the worst batman movie of all time, batman & Robin. guess what movie the trailer showed before? the best Batman movie of all time (my opinion) the Dark Knight

I havent even finished it yet and I think it ranks among some of the best batman books I've ever read. Hehe - sorry if that's a typo or something but Watchmen isn't a Batman book! It's an independent novel by Alan Moore and yes it is an extreemly MUST READ comic book! I love it to death! And will defend it against non-believers to the death! Well - maybe not ot the death but its really good. Even was on Time Magazine's top 100 novels! Really at the time when it came out - it was - the diggest thing since The Dark Knight Returns. In any case, I saw the trailer too , the music rocked and I'm really glad to see everything looked awesome but - I can't help but worry at teh same time. How can they possibly make the "impossible" comic book movie? There is simply too many side plots, too much symbolism and way too many things going on all at once to shove into a 2 and half hour movie. I just don't know how theyre going to do it and Im scared they're going to screw it up. I mean, I was pretty impressed when they did V for Vendetta but there were so many things left out that i fell they should've added to make it better. I any case, I really love the comic, and I have taken some annotations about it - just to waste some time =D.

Watchmen is probably one of the greatest graphic novels known to man, and I loved Roserach (damn I can never spell his name) The movie had better do it justice, but from what I've seen, it looks great!

My friends and I are really looking forward to this movie. I'm gonna finish reading the novel this afternoon. One of the few movies I'm really looking forward to.

I took the graphic novel to college with me today, as I want to re-read it before the film and was suprised by the amount of people asking if they could have a look. So I think it will be faboulous to have a successful, well made adaptation!! But I must disagree, gotta love nite owl...
