Overall what is everyone's opinion on Season 5? Could it have been better had it not been so Justice League focused. I think there were missed oppurtunities to introduce The Mad Hatter and some other villains.
The only new villains for Batman that were introduced was The Terrible Trio and Wrath. I was terribly Disappointed with the season and only found, The Metal Face of Comedy, The End of The Batman and Vertigo to be any good.
Looking back on it Season 1-4 were really great season with Season 4 being the best. It just seems that Season didn't have the same feel that the previous four did. This season reminds me too much of the new show Batman: Brave and the Bold.
Batman is the type of character that works well as a loner and is not plagued by different heroes popping in and out. That is what The Justice League/Batman: Brave and the Bold is designed for, to have the option where yes Batman is important but there are also other characters for him to play off of, instead of just having it be every other episode a new hero comes to Gotham.
To wrap up my rant, The Batman really was a good show in my honest opinion. I wasn't sure how it was going to be when I first heard about it, but it really turned around and made me a fan of the show. It is just so sad that it had to end on the note it did for Season 5.
With the two main producers leaving I think with it the show died. It's too bad they hadn't gone in another direction, introduced Superman to the Batman world, but then kept the show the way it was meant to be Batman's show. Thus, the title: The Batman.
Thoughts anyone...
