So I've been feeming so hard to see the first pic of Heath Ledger as the Joker and see the direction that the production is going in, that I wasted a bit of time and came up with this fairly sloppy piece that represents my idea of what it could be. Used a pic of him (link Below) as the source file spectacle.provocateuse.com/images/spectacles/heath_ledger_09.jpgI took the direction of Chris Nolan when he said that the first appearance was a major influence. Thought it could be surreal to have a young man in a hokey old suit you'd find in some thrift warehouse rather than the updated urban leather jacket thing that seems to be so popular, and is probably the direction they will go in. Also, thought it would be bold if the ad campaign was of the Joker and not Batman because I have a little theory about what they are up to. In the first appearance of the Joker he hides in a suit of armor, could this be a key scene in the film and the sort of trick/secret of the title? Nolan's been into that motif with the Prestige...hm... Hope You Dig it! Regards, DPM

Id hope in the movie that his face would be whiter and his hair would be greener.

Indeed... speaking of masqueradity, what if Nolan actually has him wearing a mask and later in the film he falls into the large vat of whatever permanently adhering the mask to his face, then much later, he attempts to pry it off only to fid that it has contorted his face into something much like this...

I actually dig that idea. Basically instead of being a "red hood" helmet/mask, Mr. J could wear a Joker-esque mask (ala the stereotypical bank robbers and the like wearing monster masks or masks of dead presidents). And instead of just "holding in" the chemicals as with hood, the mask could "bond" and or distort his face into a grotesque simulation of the mask.

That sounds too much like Black Mask.

Axtually Black Mask burnt the mask onto his face intentionally. & I got the idea when I saw V for Vendetta last year IE: the robbery with that guy in the Guy Fawkes mask

Well I know one thing! I hope the actual Joker looks better than the one on the poster!!LOL That would be a pretty good Joker origin!!!!! He could distort his face to look like his mask! But even though he wouldn't do it intentially, I've got to agree with All Star, it is a little Black Maskish!
