I was wondering how the advertising in your area for Begins is. I've seen a few TV spots and thats about it. There hasn't been much but everybody seems to know about it.
So what about the rest of you guys? How's your area for Begins promoting?

[shadow=purple,left,300]Well, one of the news stations is offering free passes to the movie with some contest. I don't watch the network often (NBC- bleh!) so idk what the contest entails.
One of the local music shops is throwing what they call "An Excuse to Bring Back the '60s." In what I think is poking fun at WB's semi-minimal ad campaign for "Begins," the spot says "Did you know that the new Batman movie opens this Wednesday? Neither did we! But I guess now we've got an excuse to bring back the campy Batman TV show from the 60s..." All this takes place tomorrow night at 11pm.
I think they'll be showing some of the old episodes, too.[/shadow]

The NY Post ran a contest to send two people to see the films premeire last week in CA. They also been having little bat trivia boxes in their paper for the last 2 weeks. And yesterday gave out a copy of #608 free in their paper. On May 24th Barns & Noble at Lincoln Center in NY gave out Complimentary passes to an Advanced IMAX screening in Manhatten for yesterday. Other than that I've just seen TV spots or posters. PJ

I saw the first bits of advertising locally last week. A couple of street pole ads and some bus stop platforms. And for the first time yesterday there was a report on Highveld ( a Jo'Burg radio station) on the news about it. I haven't seen any giant billboards or TV spots here though. I did manage to score an official poster through a friend of a friend who works for a local film distributor. I think the advertising here in SA thus far has been a bit too low key.

Here in Milwaukee, WI we're getting some good coverage. Tons of TV spots, and recently I've heard a bunch of radio stations promoting and giving away tickets to begins.

[shadow=red,left,300]Plenty of TV spots in my area, although no talk about the film on the radio, at least on the stations I listen to. [/shadow]
