Where the the Deluxes? Wal-Mart didn't have em at all. They had a place for them. The Antholgy wasn't there either. Not a good start.

Who has the best deal on the Batman Begins dvd, anyone with extra's ect? well, from a collector standpoint, Wal-Mart is packaging the single disc with an exclusive The Batman dvd that includes the season one finale. It has its own case and artwork, which I'll post later today.

Ack...if you want the special The Batman DVD thing Matt just posted, you gotta go to Wal-Mart. If you want the special poster (I think it was a poster) thing you have to go to Circuit City and if you want that lenicular cover, you have to go to Best Buy. Too many choices!!! Even worse is that I pre-ordered the SE copy and the anthology from Suncoast, I don't think I'm getting anything, paid $90+ and then see I can get it on Amazon for $57 or so... I'm not really complaining mind you...just too many choices and I kinda feel like I got left out.

Target has the anthology for $49.99 Thanks Bruce! Now I know where to buy come payday! lol since Best Buy wants $57! and I didnt see it today at Walmart? (nor did I see Bats Vs. Drac?) The free The Batman animated disk FYI only contains the season 1 two part clayface finale and is only available / offered with the single disk/standard begins DVD at an additional $5. Which sucks cause I would love to get it. Perhaps if still available in a month or so I'll get it as a gift for someone and keep The Batman disk? oh well, I wanted the Begins special ed more. Walmarts= Begins single disk $14.94 reg Begins W/ The Batman disk=$19.99 Delux Edition Begins 2disk w/ comic= $24.95 I bought the Begins 2disk Special Edition w/ comic and lenticular cover (much cooler btw) at Best Buy for $22.95 and Bats Vs. Drac for 19.95 (didnt wanna travel to Circuit City to see what they had) FYI Best Buy were charging an average of $22.95 per 1989 Batman Et al special editions sigularly.

While I like that The Batman episode is included at Wal Mart, I can't help feeling that eventually WB will release a boxed set of the seasons. It definately looks like I have my work cut out for me. Might try Costco too, sometimes they have the movies on a one day low price. I will post if I find any new news on prices.

Question to all that have bought the two disc - if you bought it somewhere other than best buy...did it come with that 72pg comic? because I saw some today that didn't have it. i wasn't under the impression that the comic was a best buy exclusive......

I only checked Walmart and Best Buy and both only had the special ed including the comic (only counting those coppies from each store I actually held and looked at of course) And other than the disk and cover art I didnt see any obvious distinction or difference between stores.

thx guys. was the comic inside the disc slipcase or outside wrapped together? At the Walmart I saw it, the tcomic was inside just like at Best Buy. I had forgotten about the book and wondered "what is that?". Then I remembered and was even happier to buy! ;D

Just to get ready, I'm playing Batman Begins for Xbox. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT! Since my grades for my report card are good, I can get it early before my birthday.
What is the comic anyway?

What is the comic anyway? Way ta go Batfan! The comic is a special 72 page "pocket sized" comic book displaying a Begins art cover (same art as the cover to the standard sinle disk dvd case). The stories included in the comic are The Long Haloween, Detective Comics #27, and "The Man Who Falls" (a nice origin tale by Dennis O'neil from the 80s) All supposedly stories that inspired / influenced the story and direction of Batman Begins. Its worth it IMHO.
