it's cool, but it looks more like somebody made it with photoshop rather than a professional movie poster. i know it's legit, it just looks a bit amateur-ish to me for some reason.

I think the design is fantastic. It's selling the movie with iconography rather than photoshop-y photographic images like 99% of movie posters - and they found an image that uses both the recognizable Batman logo and creates an icon for the Joker that the general public will be able to recognize in the context of a Batman poster.
And it has a raw, urban quality that reflects the Christopher Nolan take on the material, in contrast with the heightened reality, gothic aesthetic that Tim Burton and others have evoked.
I love it. Love it. Love it.
Chris

i dunno, i'm pretty unimpressed. maybe it's the lettering they decided to go with. i know they've had that lettering since BEGINS, and it always bugged me on the dvd case. it's just generic and it could be for anything.

Meh. I have no problem with it but Im not impressed either. Theres plenty of time and more such things to come. For it is, its just fine and I welcome more as the movie gets closer.

The teaser poster is minimalistic and effective. Less is more, and that is the case here.
