When I first saw Joker, i thought 2 things: 1) It looks like a monster that was supposed to be in Nightmare Before Christmas 2) It sucked. That was many months ago. Now the new Joker has grown on me. Then I had this thought. The TB Joker came off to me as a psychotic criminal. Sorta like Batman's Carnage (spider-man enemy www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/c/carnage.htm). My thought was Joker would become an expierenced criminal and would "evolve" into the Joker we are more familiar with. Any thoughts on this?

I hope you are right about this when i picked up a copy of ToyFare and first saw the new Joker i felt angrey due to the fact i am one of the biggest Joker fans there is but when i saw this version i cried. Now i have come to like this new Joker and hope to see more of him in the future. But i still miss the classic look.

Alot of these characters/villains are so drastically different from the previous incarnations that I dont see them as the same ones from B:TAS/TNBA/JL. Its like a Elseworlds story.
Im still not quite sure how I feel about the show, but in a way its basically the batman version of X-men Evoluation. The characters are all younger and theyve all been redesigned in both looks and character. Im not knocking it, the few episodes of Evo I did see were actually good. Like the others, I'll give the show its proper judgement when it comes out.

Nah, I doubt they will change the Joker. It's just too drastic of a move for a cartoon. But that's just me.

If there something I hate for certain about The Batman, it's the Joker's new look. I wouldn't be too surprised if his origin is TOTALLY off...think of some sort of Brazilian jungle monster coming to Gotham or something like that. Personally I doubt that the Joker will evolve, this is supposed to be a kids' show, remember?

The Joker at least has grown on me to an extent. this version appears more threatening and truly "insane" than "humerous" which i like. strangly enough, the thing that really brought me around on this version is the bare feet displayed on the figure. I think thats awesome and inspired! So far though I cant say I'm really impressed W/ the other villains. I dont have a prob w/ the drastic changes so much as just not really in agreement or approving of what they have chosen. Bane, I think the concept works but somethings "off". I like freeze, think he too is quite a creative and sensible design. not sure yet on penguin and thought the scarecrow design was downright horible.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I just want to hear the voice...That's really it.
Then I'll start crying and screaming Mark Hamil's name
I really doubt they'll change the Joker entirely... kid's show or not, Matsuda and the gang know that adults will be watching this as well...[/shadow]

[shadow=purple,left,300]Kevin Michael Richardson (is that the voice artist's name?) is damn good as the Joker. He sounds like a warped Mark Hamill.
As for those concerned about his evolution, look up at the post card. Notice anything different? [/shadow]

I think Joker will become a more familiar version later on. I hope the look on the card above is a hint.

Yes would you all draw your attention to the banner at the top of the screen..... have any of you noticedthat The joker has gotten a haircut and has also changed his clothes. In these pictures your all complaining about hes in a straight jacket and his hair is messy, meaning he just escaped from Arkham come on the guy is gonna clean up sometime in the show (Nobody can go barefoot forever )[/glow]

I think he IceDrake meant would Joker's "character" evolve...not how he LOOKS...
As in, would they show a history of him and explain how he "evolved" into the lunatic that he is now...
Atleast, that's how I understand his question [/shadow]

we know he will evolve into the crazy nut that he is.. but HOW is the question.. Joker's past is unknown, but how will his story go?
I guess I'm just thinking about this thread too hard [/shadow]

[shadow=purple,left,300]How, huh? I have no idea how.
I want to know if they'll have an origin story for the Joker in this series. Obviously, that's the first step. They'll build from insanity caused by it all, I'm guessing. Very hard to explain without having seen the show yet. [/shadow]

I was always happy with the new look. After seeing the trailer, seeing the grabs and hearing his voice i love him. There's nothing like a change to see things continually re-generate new interest. In fact i like the re-designs on all the villains, change is a part of life and i'm enjoying the look of this new direction.

[shadow=green,left,300]Really?? phew... well to answer your unanswered question...we aren't sure how the Joker's past will be shown...I guess you'll have to watch the show and pick up the comics to find out [/shadow]
