BURBANK, CA (September 16, 2004) — On Saturday, September 11, Kids' WB! launched its new programming lineup, dominating all Saturday morning competition, including cable, to rank as the #1 network in the key demographics of Boys 6-11 (5.6/25) and Male Tweens 9-14 (6.0/31). The network also led the broadcast competition in Kids 2-11 (2.5/12), Kids 6-11 (3.3/16) and Boys 2-11 (3.9/18) and Tweens 9-14 (3.5/19). Among Kids 2-11, Kids’ WB! outperformed ABC Kids (1.6/7), CBS (0.8/4), Fox Box (0.7/3) and NBC (0.4/2). Among Kids 6-11, the network topped the broadcast competition, outranking ABC Kids (1.8/8), Fox Box (0.7/3), CBS (0.5/2) and NBC (0.3/2).
For the morning, red-hot Yu-Gi-Oh! Waking The Dragons, in its 11:00 a.m. ET time period, captured the #1 program spot among all competition, including cable, in Boys 6-11 (7.4/33) and Male Tweens 9-14 (8.5/36). The animé-adventure took the #1 broadcast program spot in Kids 2-11 (3.3/14), Kids 6-11 (4.3/19), Boys 2-11 (5.3/23) and Tweens 9-14 (5.0/21).
The highly anticipated series The Batman premiered strongly with Kids’ WB!’s best ever 10:30 a.m. ET debut among Tweens 9-14 and Male Tweens 9-14. The breakout hit ranked as the #2 overall program in Male Tweens 9-14 (7.0/31), tying with Pokémon Advanced Challenge (7.0/33), ranked #6 among Tweens 9-14 (4.0/17), tying with Xiaolin Showdown (4.0/20), and finished among the top 10 overall spots for the morning in Kids 6-11, Boys 2-11 and Boys 6-11.
