[shadow=green,left,300] Say marndt8448, we'd love to hear your full review of this episode![/shadow] Here you go /\/\att: SPOILERThe show starts off with Bennett back in his bathroom staring in the mirror, this time after his face seems to be 'sliding' off his skull, he fully transforms into Clayface (pic to come). He can't control himself (speech is gargled and can't operate a phone) stumbling all over the place and leaving ooze wherever he touches. Clayface staggers out of his appartment and into the street pleading for help. No one can understand him, and when the cops come they draw their guns. Clayface defends himself akwardly and without realizing how to use his new powers. Eventually the Fire Dept. also arrives and turn their hoses on Clayface, flushing him into the sewers. The Batman watches from a distance and uses his infa-red goggles to follow Clayface's heat signature in the water. Clayface travels to the Poilce Headquarters using the sewers, where he attacks Chief Rojas in his office. Batman arrives, and they go out the window, fight on the rooftops (I thought Clayface's ability to transport looked pretty cool, like a gusher). They battle and Clayface easily escapes (he turns his arms into glider wings and flyies away) but Batman gets a sample of him using his Batarang. Clayface goes back to his apartment, where he practices shapeshifting and altering his voice (you get a cool shot panning down his throat watching his vocal cords changing). He turns back into Bennett (using his old photo of him & bruce playing ball as a guide) just in time to fool Yin who has come by to check on him. He then disguises himself as Yin to get into Rojas' apartment and kidnap Rojas (Clayface actually transforms into a cop with Rojas inside of himself). Meanwhile Batman puts the clay sample under the microscope and learns that the clay has mutated human DNA in it. Alfred mentions how it moves like 'putty' and that's when Batman realizes that it's Jokers putty that has infected Bennett. At the same time, reports of Clayface heading towards the East side (where Yin knew that Bennett & Bruce were going to meet) leads Yin to figure out Clayface's identity also. Batman tracks Clayface down to the East Side Gym (where Bruce and Bennett had agreed to play ball) and he's about to kill Rojas. Yin arrives in time to witness the Batman try to reason with Clayface, telling him the dangers of 'crossing a line you can't come back from'. But Clayface says that Joker not only melted his skin, but also melted his mind (he changes into Bennett, Yin Bruce, then Joker). He and Batman end up fighting in the showers (Batman is S.O.L. because the water pressure isn't strong enough to affect Clayface), and Clayface has the upper hand, pinning Batman high up against a wall, until Yin convinces him not to kill Batman and not 'cross that line'. Clayface comes to his sencse when he notices that Yin is finally on the Batman's side. Clayface takes off oozing his way down the drain. With the Batman still unconcious, Yin comes close to unmasking Batman, but doesn't because she now realizes that "everything Bennett said about Gotham needing Batman was right". Whan Batman comes to, he gives Yin a Batwave communicator so she can call for him whenever she needs him. The episode ends with Bruce and Yin having coffee, Bruce says they'll find a way to change Bennett back. He asks if Yin will be assigned a new partner, and she says she might already have one (while holding the Batwave communicator under the table) which causes a little smile from Bruce. They both spot Bennett across the street and rush out to find him, but he's already gone. That's when they say "he could be anywhere" "or anyone.", which was an awesome ending. I liked this episode a lot. It had a similar feel to some of the better 'Batman: TAS' episodes (not quite there yet), and showed the potential 'The Batman' has. I think that if the writing of future villians get the same treatment that Clayface got, many of us Bat-fans should be very happy.

Man that story is the shizz-nitt. Kudos to "The Batman" writers. I thank thee for bringing cartoons back from this idiotic buffoonery that clogs the airwaves.

Oooh, sounds interesting. Question: why did he suddenly feel the urge to kidnap his boss? I mean, if I turned into a putty man, it wouldn't necessarily make me homicidal...confused, yes, but still...
I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to have him go after the Joker? Or the Batman?
Ah well, at least there were no hooded dwarves involved.

Ah well, at least there were no hooded dwarves involved. Sorry DisgruntledGremlin, I didn't mention it because Clayface's reasons for disliking Rojas happen in the first part, 'The Rubberface of Comedy'. Rojas goes ballistic on the cops for all the "freaks" running around in Gotham (including Batman). Rojas really focuses his anger on Bennett and repeatedly blames Bennett for always 'letting' Batman escape. Rojas also suspended Bennett at the end of part 1. Oh, and /\/\att, I'll try and post some more pics for you later today.

Thanks- makes a lot more sense now. Although, admittedly, *everyone* thinks about killing their boss at one time or another.

After watching this season finale I totally changed my mind about "The Batman."
At first I thought this show was a lame excuse to sell action figures and that it will never live up to BTAS. Well I don't think it ever will live up to BTAS but that's because that's impossible given the liberties Timm & Co had in the early nineties.
But overall this show is great for what it is - a contemporary and hip interpretation of Batman. Out of the 12 eps I've seen so far, the Cluemaster episode was the only one that clearly sucked.
While the show highlights Batman's gadgets more than previous incarnations (which is not a bad thing BTW , I always felt that the gadjets came a little short in BTAS ;D) it still maintains a dark scheme.
I also appreciate that we got to see a little bit of the Joker's origin, I hope they reveal more of that in season 2.

PJ [shadow=green,left,300]PJ this hasn't aired in the US yet. Topsy Turvy, the new Joker episode, is airing this week...then Bird of Prey the week after that. The season finale isn't officially scheduled to play just yet. If you guys ever have a question about the schedule, I always update the schedule on our fansite...its on the right hand lower side. www.legionsofgotham.org/BATMAN[/shadow]

[glow=red,2,300]Yeah, sounds good. I think it comes out in the states on the last Saturday of February this year. If anyone would be kind enough to clerify whether or not Harvey TwoFace is going to be in this series, I'd greatly appreciate it. Good episode, can't wait for it.
Also, I liked the Joker's straight jacket look alot better, but I like the suit look as well, but I doesn't look as good unless he added some shoes to it. [/glow]

WHERE IS THIS EPISODE?! Reruns thru April? WTF? [shadow=purple,left,300]Are you sure WB is showing re-runs through April? I know Cartoon Network is re-airing season 1 beginning Saturdays next month.
Regardless, I do have to say that I am a bit annoyed with WB for not airing the season finale yet. There are only so many times I can watch "Call of the Cobblepot" or "The Man Who Would Be Bat" this season... I mean, Canada is already airing season 2, why should we be forced to wait any longer? There's no logical reason.[/shadow]
