here it is, another detailed recap in all its spoiling glory...
well, sorry, folks, his ep DID NOT feature solomon grundy. maybe that's next week. so, who else could possibly be in an episode with "swamp" in the title?
that's right people... KILLER CROC!!!
the show starts out with croc recruiting some henchmen. croc is portrayed here with a texan accent, and is said that he is a failed military experiment. when croc first talked, he reminded me of a cowboy, but as the episode went on, he did sound like a army general. anyway, batman is investigating nine robberies, seemingly unrelated, but is looking for a link between them.
hmmm... world's greatest detective... could it be that maybe these "unrelated" crimes are indeed unrelated? but no, bats gets lucky, and finds the link between the robberies are water. so he heads down to the river, and finds croc and the boys in the midst of another robbery, this time of tanks filled with oxygen. he have a nifty battle between the two, but croc gets away.
all this time, alfred has been archiving trophies from batman's past, like the scarface robot head, some joker cards and whatnot.
anyway, croc, from his underground headquarters, has access to some water pumps. he floods gotham's downtown district, where all the "good shopping is". croc is in the middle of a bank robbery, when batman zooms up on a jet ski, and chases them. croc gets away again, but bats catches one of the henchmen, and finds out where croc is. batman's jet ski turns into a self propelled water thing, in which batman can use to go underwater into croc's hideout. so, all you folks who bought the aqua attack batman toy, you can finally use it, because he's on the show! (not yellow, but still cool).
croc is now trying to flood the rest of gotham, but a battle ensues with batman. batman almost drowns croc, and batman wins the battle and gotham is safe. but during the fight, croc loses a tooth, which batman keeps for his collection.
this episode was okay... no yin... i didn't really like how croc was portrayed. he doesn't even care about his condition. he never once mentions that he hates his appearance. he has no motive. it was a decent ep... enjoyable at least.
