What are the new villains for this season? The commercial went by too fast. I think it showed like 5-6 new villains?

The Penguin's gonna be in A Dark Knight to remember. Check out the link in the "Revamped Penguin" thread.
Hmmm... A Fistful of Felt. If it were a new villain, I'd guess ToyMaker.

With a title like that, I'd say either Catwoman or Man-Bat would be the likely villains. I suspect Matt'll let us know soon enough.

A Fistful of Felt is another one of the episodes I really enjoyed. It's twisted...but in a good way. I'm a big fan of this new season, and this episode is another reason why. It's fun on the surface, but the underlying theme is pretty strange.

[glow=green,2,300]They definatly need new crime lords, Rupert Thorne was only in Episode 1, season 1. "BAT IN THE BELFRY"... I've never heard of toymaker, could someone tell me what he's like?

i think hes either made-up or based on toyman from superman's rogue gallery!
as for the crime lords, the batman does not need crime lords!! it would bore kids out of their minds!! this show needs to stay with superhumans and crazy people!! which is what kids'll watch, because a kid will not watch a show with business people and crime lords and stuff!!

The point of him being in year three is that he's pretty much dismantled the major crime lords and the "freaks" are starting to emerge. I don't think we'll see too many crime bosses. Thanks for posting Jeff! I'm glad to hear you're behind the ep. I wish we could get a hint as to what villain is gonna appear! Can you at least tell us if its gonna be a new one or one we've seen already?

Sure Matt! The villain is one we've seen, but he's put into a very tricky situation. I feel sorry for the guy.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Thanks a lot, gatubela! Here's the link.
I can't wait, to be honest. It should be interesting seeing Dr. Hugo Strange try to analyze the Ventriloquist.[/shadow]

mr matsuda this may be off topic yet on topic with your villains but can i ask would it be possible to have the creeper in the batman?
he could fight joker and he was a great character in tba.
you remaking him would be so awesome.

[shadow=green,left,300]Its scarface and ventriloquist?! YESSSS!!! I've been wanting to see them make another episode, since "BIG DUMMY" was really a s***load of s***. I honestly think that another episode with them would be great. I always thought of them being the COOLEST crimelord/crimelords, and also I thought that BTAS/TNBA didn't give them enough episodes to show how cool they are. Scareface and Ventriloquist are really the favorites of many who like more "down to earth" type of villains.[/shadow]

AWESOME idea i've ever heard being put up for this show!!! i agree, the CReEPer would be an awesome edition to batman's rouge of villains... i agree full-heartedly... 100%!!! Also it'd be cool to have like a mad hatter, a scarecrow, and some more bane episodes.[/shadow]

Hey all - i was wondering if The Ventriloquist would return - maybe some other villains that have only been given one ep may do . . .
I love the idea of using characters that have not met - Dr Strange and Ventriloquist were in seperate seasons but as Strange is working at Arkham its a kind of a cool follow up with him helping the Ventriloquist! - {i hope it makes sence}
Also slightly off topic but where is Yin and the other characters that have vanished??
Thanx SRA

Wow, of all the villains "The Batman" has used, I did not expect to see Scarface return! That's a real surprise, and pairing him up with Hugo Strange (with an appearance by Mayor Grange, too!) promises to be a great episode. I'm really looking forward to this one. Strong voice actors, a good villain, two interesting supporting characters, and a very good writer is going to translate into a memorable episode. This season is hitting it out of the park.
It's interesting to read comments (not at LoG specifically, but in general) about certain villains being overused, because when one looks at the sheer amount of villains that have appeared, I think the ratio is pretty good. Using Scarface as an example, he only appeared (in more than a cameo) in 3 episodes of B:TAS/TNBA out of over 100, but will now have appeared in 2 out of 39 episodes in this series. One thing "The Batman" has done very well is presenting a variety of villains, and I'm also glad to see the crew branching out and creating a few of their own -- Temblor was a lot of fun, and it'll be interesting to see what this Toymaker is like when he appears.

[shadow=green,left,300]You know what would be cool... in addition to a different genre of Batman taking on the Creeper, I'd also like to see them handle the Clock King... he was created by BTAS, and he was a great villain... Harley Quinn was the best new character to come out of B:TAS, but I feel that she belongs only there and in comic strips... it would be impossible, no, UNFORGIVABLE for The Batman to try and redo Harley Quinn... Besides, if they did such pointless characters like the Cluemaster, who was never a very popular villain in the first place, shouldn't they at least throw in ONE episode with the Clock King, or maybe a return of Baby Doll? But I still really like the idea of the return of the Creeper... that was one of the coolest villains to ever come out of TNBA.[/shadow]

[/shadow] As far as I know, Clock King was one of Green Arrow's rogues in the comics. He looks much different. Spandex, a cape, and nothing but clocks on his outfit. He had a mask which I believe was the face of a clock (big surprise). I did not get to see him in '60s show, but if they went with the comicbook design .

The Clock King in the '60s series was nothing like in the comics, and actually much more like the version BTAS used. He was very distinguished, wearing a suit and tie. His henchman were called his Second Hands, and his moll was named Millie Second, get it? The producers cast Walter Slezak, an Austrian born actor, to play him because they wanted the show to appeal more to European audiences. Also, the pair of episodes were co-written by Bill Finger, the only episodes of the series he had a hand in writing.

And he has been on JLU, but he has not gotten any speaking parts . He would be a good addition, but I would rather see an episode of JLU put Creeper to really cool use.

[shadow=green,left,300]Hmmm... I can see the Green Lanturn fighting the Clock King, but I think he should be more of a Batman villain... He seems like the kind of villain that someone with superpowers (such as GREEN LANTURN) could overcome to easily... But someone who only has high-tech weapons and a bunch of material arts at his disposal (such as THE BATMAN) would face more of a challenge fighting the Clock King....
Anyway, also, since the episode is named "A Fistful of Felt", does anyone know if Scarface AND Ragdoll would be teaming up? Just a thought...[/shadow]
