Yeah, you read right. Cartoon Network is showing Batman vs. Dracula on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 5PM, eastern. The movie will have an encore on Monday, Oct. 31 at 5PM but STILL go out and buy the DVD. Support this effort so more DVDs can be made in the future! LoG's The Batman vs. Dracula site

I just this doesn't hurt the DVD sales. Granted, once they watch it on the 22nd, I'm sure they will rush out to get it. It's in the top of the animated films.
1) MOTP - Sorry, it's the first animated film, and the first movie to "GET" Batman 2) ROTJ - The unedited one of course. 3) TBVD - If it wasn't as dark, it wouldn't be this high. It just really blew my mind at how good it is. 4) Sub Zero 5) MOTBW

I really hope everyone still picks up the DVD! Its all about the numbers gang...if this sells well, we can expect more! If it doesn't....its just not as likely. I, for one, want a lot more DTV's!

I fully plan on having it. I'm less than the biggest The Batman or Dracula fan but everything I've seen and heard regarding this has me stoked. I just bought the Teen Titans: Fear Itself DVD which contains a nice trailor / ad for this and it really looks good!

Matt or anybody else, any idea if they are going to do any more BTAS DTV's (Kevin Conroy) or is that it because of "the Batman?"

Matt or anybody else, any idea if they are going to do any more BTAS DTV's (Kevin Conroy) or is that it because of "the Batman?" There are no plans at this time to do any BTAS/TNBA era DVDs. From what I've heard, this has more to do with lack of interest from some of the cast, Timm and others to do more at this time. If anyone else has heard of other reasons, please feel free to chime in!

Well, it may be best discussed in the "Modern Era Animated" board? But I believe more DTVs related in the vain of BTAS/TNBA/JLU are still quite possible.
This is the first I've heard of there being any lack of interest or desire to do so on behalf of Timm and Co.? It also doesnt seem to mesh with anything I read currently regarding their enthusiasm for the work?
Mystery of the Batwoman is only a couple of years old, and as I recall, shortly thereafter, Timm and Co. had stated their intention and desire to continue the trend. (I believe I made a post at the time relaying the specific information where they hinted at the hopes of making more such specific BTAS DTVs).
The JLU episode "Epilogue" was roughly based on a story originally intended to be a Batman Beyond DTV follow up to Return of the Joker. (but BB DTVs at this point would be less likely IMO).
The JLU episode "A Better World" was also based on a JL DTV concept titled "Worlds Collide" (involving the Crime Syndicate). Just a few months ago B. Timm was quoted (by Toonzone I believe?) as saying that particular project is still simply "on hold" and "may still happen"... therefore he declined to provide any further story details beyond a few tidbits. This idea was intended to more deliberately cross the gap between JL and JLU. They were up to the dialog recording phase when they realised it was simply going to be "too difficult to do it at the same time as JLU" (1st season).
The regular episodic animated "TIMMVERSE" may be coming to an end? but my gut tells me a specific "BTAS" style DTV is possible and I dare say even likely?. (a Batman Beyond DTV would be less likely but not entirely impossible).
But I would be willing to put my money on there eventually being a JLU related DTV project.
There is a Superman DTV on the horizon which is in essence related to Timm/STAS.
Bottom line, as long as there remains a strong fan base, and therefore, "money to be made", dont count it out. There is certainly a profit to be made for the studio by going forward with any above such DTV project.

I'll check it out. Not intending to buy the disc because A) I like but don't love this series and B) the Dracula concept doesn't interest me too much.
But that's me.

I just saw a commercial that it's going to be on at 7 PM eastern on TOONAMI. Looks like this is a sign that TOONAMI's bringing on "new" episodes of THE BATMAN.

I wonder if they'll edit it the movie and take out some of the "bloody" parts.

I'm waiting untill November to buy the DVD with the action figures. They look cool, man. I'm also taping the movie on cartoon network just in case the Special Edition of the movie on DVD is widescreen. I hate widescreens.

I watched it Saturday night and I enjoyed it. I had ordered the DVD w/ PVC figures but according to Amazon that's not being released until mid Nov. Anyway here's hoping they can somehow incorporate the Batman vs. Dracula into the figure line. PJ
