I thought it was fairly well done and I was glad to see some of the more adult flourishes.
That said, I still find it a bit odd that they chose Dracula for their first DTV feature. I mean, if they're gonna go to all the effort, why not make it a story more integral to the Batman mythos?

Do you guys know Batman was battle-damaged 4 times in this movie? Yes I counted. Looks like Alfred had to put in some overtime with the sewing machine.

[shadow=purple,left,300]"The Batman vs. Dracula" was very interesting. I liked how Batman thought of vampirism as a disease. This was extremely dark and gritty, definitely darker than what we're used to seeing on Saturday mornings. The blood bank scene was probably the edgiest, yet greatest, thing "The Batman" has done thus far. I only had a problem with the Penguin's unwanted puns and overall cookiness.
I give it an 8/10. Well done. [/shadow]

[shadow=green,left,300]Okay, I'm gonna make a third review. I just watched this movie again and it was more intense then I remember (from a week ago). I agree with what stu said, the idea of having Dracula against Batman was a little corky, but it is a kids show after all and I realized just how fansinating it really is. My only grudge is that Batman treated it as a disease... I've read "Dracula" many-a-time and its just not that simple to be disposed of a victim of a vampiric bite. But, I suppose Batman couldn't have ALL of those "Lost Ones" burn up infront of the Solar Generator... my little cousin watched it with me and kinda freaked out when Dracula burned to death. Agreeing with Stu again, and like I said in one of my previous posts, I do believe that they should make a movie about the Joker's origin, or even the Riddler. Has anyone else noticed that they have failed to call the Riddler by his real name: "EDWARD NIGMA"? Even the police haven't mentioned his name! (Note that during "Night and the City", Rojas said "We're looking for Joker, Riddler and Cobblepot!") The Joker's identity has never been certain, but Riddler has ALWAYS been Edward Nigma. Perhaps "The Batman" could even produce a show about the tragedy of Mr. Freeze... sorta like the way BTAS did "Subzero"... I just hope they make at least ONE movie that explores one of the episode's villains' past (except Penguin, God forbid they do a movie on him.) But I'm really keen on the idea of exploring Joker's background... I dunno. I just hope that they get another one out within the next year or so... That'd be great![/shadow]

Well, I finally saw it. Very entertaining with some of the best fight scenes I've ever seen Batman do in any medium. Period. Fast, clear, and brutal- I was rooting for Batman the whole time, especially in his final fight with Dracula in the caverns.
I really liked the inclusion of Vicki Vale and I hope that they bring her to the series.
The flashback sequences were also excellent, especially the Batcave scene. My mouth fell open immediately. Very well done and great place to put it in the story.
I hope that there will be more DTV's. I have to say that any of the origin DTVs that are being suggested here (Batman, Joker, Riddler, Freeze) would be awesome.

Did the vampire Batman in Bruce's dream remind anyone else of the vampire Batman from the "Crimson Mist" Elseworlds book?

According to my research, (watching "Night and the City", the dtv, and "Batgirl Begins")
THE BATMAN VS DRACULA takes place between "Night and the City" and "Batgirl Begins". In fact the movie gave us a reason why Batman got a new batmobile in the season 3 premiere. SPOILER: When Dracula throws the old batmobile over, off the lane in the batcave. Batman used the old batmobile in "Night and the City". He lost it in the dtv. Got a new car in "Batgirl.Begins".
Yeah, I read somebody wanted to know when the dtv happened. DrGreenEvil

Well, I finally watched it last night. I must say I was already expecting it to be great but it was WONDERFUL. Everything had me glued to the TV. The characters, story, fight sequences and art was awesome. Anybody else want to see more Vicki Vale? It was a very dark show and I couldn't find anything I would change. I'm glad I bought the DVD and I look forward to more DTV.
10/10

I really liked it, especially the inclusion of Vicky Vale, but they really need to leave Joker and Penguin alone for a while, especially Penguin he drives me crazy

I thought that the Penguin and the Joker actually served their purpose well. The Penguin wasn't too bad, and he did have some choice lines. The Joker, on the other hand, was just incredibly creepy. They really did an excellent job making the Joker just frightening.
