Maybe it is because I collect Transformers, but has anyone noticed how many episodes of "The Batman" have some sort of "modern era" incarnation of Optimus Prime in the background? It is the same exact truck every time - red truck pulling a grey trailer. Have you noticed it? Somebody tell me I'm not crazy. Look for it. It was even in Batman vs. Dracula.

Well, I think you're crazy, but I'll keep an eye on it next time I watch an episode.
Another thing I noticed in THE MAN WHO WOULD BE BAT is when after Bruce locks Man-Bat in the freezer and says chill. And who do we get the next episode? Mr. Freeze. Foreshadowing?

[shadow=purple,left,300]I think both cases are just coincidence. It's probably just easier to animate the same truck over and over again than to come up with new ones each time.[/shadow]

Heh - thing is...it is always from different angles.
Keep the truck watch going! I'll try to get more pictures.

The crew on the show are all fans of toons, so it wouldn't surprise me if someone threw in a Transformers nod.

Heh - thing is...it is always from different angles. Keep the truck watch going! I'll try to get more pictures. It's probably a combination of J-Man and your theories... It probably is "the same truck", since really there's probably only gonna be one truck on screen at a time the crew probably just made one model sheet with one color sheet for it. So they are saving time and effort by making this "one truck" every truck you see in the show (or maybe they have 2 or 3 or so designs they rotate, point is they're not gonna design and plan a color scheme for a new truck ever time they need to show traffic in the background or something) so it constantly appearing probably isn't any deeper then it's one of a very very very small number of trucks (if not the only truck) in the Design catalog. However is it a reference to Optimus? Well /\/\att said the crew is fans of all sorts of cartoons and it's not like the animated DCU isn't above extremely random cameos in the background (how many times has Gilligan fleed in terror on Teen Titans? only to have Mr.Freeze rob him and the others in the Batman?)... so it really seems more likely it is a very small easter egg rather then sheet co-inky-dink
